lol this isn't happening breh... dude's numbers are way down from last year in terms of efficiency and his team is probably going to finish 2nd in the division, which would mean a 5th seed come Playoff time. Varejao was their best defender and he's out for the season, dude isn't going to pull off a 2013-esque run after all that mileage and sharing touches with Love & Irving.

If losing Varejao is a huge excuse for why LeBron doesn't win MVP I'm going to laugh my ass off.

Meanwhile Durant played without Westbrook or two starters almost the whole year last season... in the West, and still went apeshit.

Yeah but Durant doesn't have the same mileage though. 2009 Bran with the current Cavs roster would probably equate to the best record in the conference, I can't hate on Lebron for not being in his prime anymore.

Dude is 29 years old and everyone's acting like he's 35 :oldlol:

Do you fools not remember 29 year old Jordan? Shaq? Kobe? Hakeem? Malone? Duncan? Dirk?

Lmao.

Such an easy year to get it too. All he has to do is play above average and win games in the weakest conference ever, with probably more talent than anyone else.

Yet....... the guy sucks and his team is trash. No defense, no heart, no leadership. LeBron showing his true colors this year. He's never been a competitor. All about short cuts and collusion. Never about building something from the ground up and creating a long-lasting culture, which is why more important for legacy then just colluding with other superstars.

Jordan did it with the Bulls in the early 90's after not being able to get past the Pistons. It feels like the early 90's all over again as Durant/Westbrook are set to have a similar run that Jordan/Pippen had. I guess the Spurs are our Pistons, even though we kicked their ass in 2012. Still gotta prove we can do it without Harden.

I'm not defending the man, but they did not come off 4 straight Finals runs at the same age :confusedshrug:

yeah and these other players didn't get first and second round bye's in the playoffs every year.

adding an extra series or two for four straight years while LeBron is sitting out the olympics now is not a good enough reason for how big his play has dropped off vs other great players at the same age.

To be fair to Lebron, he's not as great as Kobe/Shaq.

???

At 29 years old:

Kobe won MVP leading his team to the finals averaging 27/5/5
Shaq averaged like 27/10/3 on 58% on his way to a third chip
Malone averaged like 27/11/4

Lebrons stats look good but he's sucking so far, at least for his standards. He's having the worst year since like his 2nd or 3rd year. That's unacceptable at 29 years old...

yes we do, and any version of the 29-35 year-old MJ would absolutely destroy lebron today - here he was at 30 in 1993:

the 32 and 33 year old versions of all those guys would destroy the current lebron let alone the 29-year old versions...

heck, wiggins, gordon hayward and fossil paul pierce have all had their way with lebron this year... let alone the legends you named.

here was jordan at 35:

If he's that much better at 30, we can only imagine how much better he was at 25, when he was in the process of 4 straight seasons of 31+ PER and 60%+ TS (despite shooting all two-pointers - the lack of 3-pointers puts downward pressure on TS% and PER).
