View Full Version : If OKC would have kept Harden, their two centers for the next 3 years would have been

Kendrick Perkins and Hasheem Thabeet. And just Hasheem Thabeet if Perkins got amnestied.

And they would have had zero cap space to get anyone else.

This is why OKC asked Harden to take 1 mill less a year, to give them a little wiggle room. Because ain't nobody winning shit with Brooks coaching and either Thabeet or Perkins starting.

The mistake was not trading Ibaka. Harden is a god damn animal.

Overall, OKC made the right move. No matter how you look at it there weren't enough touches to go around between Durant, Westbrook, AND Harden. And expecting Harden to play 6man is naive.

Nah man, Harden would be putting up 30 PPG alongside Westbrook and Durant. Ibaka's production probably would be where it currently is right now too, at 15 PPG.

Damn, Jackson would probably be putting his 16 PPG up too.

Thunder ****ed up.

Miami didn't win with Joel, Bosh was starting, Joel wasn't even in rotation.
Tyson Chandler wasn't trash. :facepalm
Bynum wasn't trash, and Gasol played center for a good portion of the playoffs.
Perkins was great with the Celtics.
Didn't Spurs win with Diaw and Duncan?

Lol, dude's trying to play it off like the Thunder wouldn't be better off having an MVP candidate on the team

thunder would definitely be better with harden on the team. it is really sad that cheap owner butchered a potential dynasty. They can probably win 1 now if luck favors them.

A sick person like me actually sort of likes it.... makes my favorite players look better when they win.

Having Harden might make us better but OKC will win regardless and it will make Durant look like a God.

Harden is still one of my favorites and it was a shit move, period. Bottom line, OKC is fine because we have a guy like Sam Presti, who is a lot smarter than you, overseeing and making sure this team is good FOREVER, not just one or two years.

i am willing to bet anything that Durant will leave when his contract is up if OKC doesn't win a ring or at least signs a big name by then.
All the people who say that people move to other teams to just win rings are idiots. Winning rings for superstars means way more money off the court. This is why Kobe wanted the lakers to trade him before he got 2 FMVPs himself after lakers got him Pau. It is all about money. lebron went to cavs for more money later when he is retired and kobe is not leaving lakers because retiring as a laker will mean more money when he retires.
Winning multiple rings is very important to superstars now to make a lot of money even after they retire.

So you would have been better off with Steve Adams/Lamb than the current leader in the MVP race  and don't forget the great Perry Jones.

Youre completely wrong

Chris Bosh started at center when the Heat won
Tyson Chandler was one of the best defensive centers in the league
Andrew Bynum was an all star the next season
Kendrick Perkins was still a good starting center
Tim Duncan was the real center for the spurs
