I don't understand why they stuck with Brooks.

Isn't one of KD/WB a free agent after next summer? Wouldn't it have behooved the OKC FO to install a new coach starting this season, so by the end of next year he'll have a good deal of time under his belt?

Of course, the Perkins stuff makes even less sense.
