Yes to first question, no to second. Shaq was too much a mismatch for basically any other center between 2000 and 2002, for another player to steal his thunder. Way too dominant...

So it's 06 Wade all 3 seasons? IDK.. different rules but playing at 06 level for 3 straight years would be absurd. I think they still win it all, which is no shot at Kobe since Wade is a top 25 All-Time player.

And 01 Kobe is as good as 06 Wade. Let's not forget handchecking wasn't made illegal until the 04-05 season... Would Wade have gotten those calls before the rule change? Doubtful.

Wasn't that only Wade's third season? That's one reason why I made this comparison, because at the beginning of the Lakers three-peat years, Kobe was in his third season as well, IIRC. So they would be comparable.

It was Kobe's 4th season in 2000....anyways Kobe wasn't at level of 06 Wade till 2001. 06 Wade replacing 00 Kobe, Lakers easily win. Doubt it would be different in 2001 and 2002....

three-peat Kobe was never the focal point on opponent's defense plan. So you cannot compare his stats to every other superstar by saying Kobe is better. Single coverage and more FT due to Shaq got them in penalty easily.

Everybody talk about how MJ's game would change with Shaq, but what makes you think Shaq's game wouldn't change? No one upped his game more in the playoffs, Shaq included, than MJ.
