Everyone in the top 30 scorers of all time is either in the HOF or is a lock to make it, I'm sure Carmelo will be voted in

Ya Melo is gonna get in. Not to mention its a Basketball HOF that can take into account your college career. Winning a national title and two gold medals is great for the resume. If he could win an NBA title, he would be in VERY ELITE COMPANY! Very few have won an NCAA title, Olympic Gold Medal, and NBA title. Only MJ, Magic, Russell, Jerry Lucas, Quinn Buckner, Clyde Lovelette and KC Jones had accomplished that feat. And of that group, only MJ, Magic, Russ, and Lucas were true franchise kind of players.
