Westbrook missed too many games in my opinion, so i'd put Harden in. Rest is a pretty safe bet.

Russ has been great but he has also missed 40% of his team's games. Have to put Harden there.

You have to bless the boy Harden. Better year than last year so far and he made first team.

Yeah you have to put Harden in for how effective he was, but still he is so effective in big part because of the way the game is called.

for second team i would go
G- James Harden
G- Kyle Lowry
F- Lamarcus Alrdige
F- Blake Griffin
C- Demarcus Cousins
crazy to think that guys like Paul, Wall, and Lillard could be relegated to 3rd team...
that said, we all know it will be at least CP3 and probably Kobe on first team. KD, Lebron, and Gasol or Dwight will round it out.

Kobe isn't making a team. Fans vote for AS Game. They don't get to vote for All NBA teams...

Gasol
2nd Team:
Paul

LeBron
Griffin

Westbrook will make a team, but he's missed too many games to start the season (which is all this list is).

Toronto has the 3rd best record in the LEAGUE (let alone best in the East), and Kyle Lowry has yet to make anyone's list. Last season All Star DeMar DeRozan has been out half the season also.
He has a case for All-NBA 1st team.

Duncan DPOY? Explain.
Would be Bogut if he ends the season playing at least 60-64 games (seems unlikey). If I were voting for DPOY I'd pick the player who had the biggest impact on the defense, so it's not going to be a wing player (unless we're talking prime AK47).
So, of the big men currently in the NBA, aside from Bogut, I don't see any of them having the same defensive impact as Duncan. For much of November and December he kept us a very strong defensive team, even though we were missing our second best defensive player (Splitter), meaning the frontline was weak on that end (watching Diaw/Bonner/Baynes/Ayres on defense without Duncan or Splitter in the lineup is horrible). His defensive rotations are much better than last year (and they were sill great then), he's stopping shots at the rim with the best of them (he's top 5 in opponent FG% at the rim iirc), he's rebounding at a historic rate for his age, and even getting a couple of blocks a game, usually without fouling (some call it star bias, I call it having the best anticipation in the league).
In terms of defensive metrics, he's currently #1 in Defensive Box +/- (4.1, next is Tony Allen with 3.6), #1 in DRPM (5.59, then Bogut with 5.32, then Cousins with 4.37). I dislike DRtg, but he's currently 2nd in the league (97.5, .1 behind Draygod).
Honestly, I think it's Duncan and Bogut and nobody else is really close. Davis is a stud, but his defense has been incredibly overrated. He just doesn't have the defensive IQ to truly make his teammates better on that end of the floor or stop big men from having great games (not just in terms of scoring). It has been a pretty weak year for individual defensive players, even if defensive schemes are getting smarter and smarter.
This all will probably change. Duncan's due for a mediocre month of basketball after carrying us (along with Green) in December. :confusedshrug:

He's balling but I don't think he has a case over Curry and Harden. I'm not a fan of Harden's game at all but his numbers are too good at this point to leave him off. It sickens me that he might get his second straight 1st team selection.

:biggums:
Lowry is on the best team in the East, yet Wade who's missed like ten games and 2 games under .500. Same with Westbrook but Westbrook is 29/6/4 and Wade is 23/5/4. West makes third team and Wade no team.

I'm as big a Wade fan as anyone but I have to agree (though he's missed 8 games not 10). I wouldn't put Westbrook their either, as he's missed 14 games. Lowry as of now is deserving of an all NBA spot.
If Wade and Westbrook continue their great play, remain healthy, and their teams improve (which they should with Durant/Bosh), they will both make all NBA teams.

Westbrook's impact has been bigger than Wade's this season, which is why I had him over Wade for a 3rd team spot.

Yeah, Westbrook has been ridiculous but if I were to select all NBA teams right now I would have to exclude him because of the missed games. My six guards would be (in no order) Curry, Harden, Wall, Butler, Paul, and Lowry.
