They may be great at hacking but they need to brush up diplomacy. Their government issues statements like an 8th grade student body.

They are really pissed because their Internet completely went down for 9 hours, affecting a small group of upper classes in Pyongyang, and they went off like this? Weak.

Does anyone have any factual evidence of their defense ministry saying those words? From all the articles I've read it just said a spokesperson or official said the words but provides no links or proof they/he actually said it.

Although the defense ministry(or w/e said it) is part of the North Korean government it's still a bit misleading to say "North Korea" called Obama such a such. It will be kind of like saying the United States called Kim Jung a **** after the Interview was released.

Just playing devils advocate here

The government in Pyongyang doesn't so much as loose a fart into the wind without express direction from the top. This is their official stance.

The poster on the another forum was saying how it is not really that big of a news, he quoted article from Reuters to show that it was pretty much a nobody saying something and then it becomes this news line all of the sudden.

"Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest," an unnamed spokesman for the commission said in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency, using a term seemingly designed to cause racial offense that North Korea has resorted to previously.

I'd see how it's not really a serious thing but a clickbait story.

Also, many independent sources say there is little evidence to link Sony hack with North Korea. It could have come from Russia or any other part of the world, and may not have necessarilly been a state-supported deed. One version it was merely a disgruntled former employee of Sony.

Media shouldn't be obsessed with NK too much.

No they didn't call Obama a monkey. :facepalm

They are saying his actions are like a monkey. Just like "he eats like a pig " or "he's strong like a mule."
