How has he been doing so far?

People had expectations of a super front court in Embiid/Noel. If Philly get #1 pick, should they give up on Nerlens Noel and go with Okafor/Embiid twin towers instead?

He looks about like Tyrus Thomas so far. But if you hear him talk he at least sounds like his head is in the right place. He might make it...I enjoyed watching him in the summer league...but its clear he depends on the physical advantages he has there...that he doesnt vs real NBA teams.

I hope he turns it around...but either way...you dont pass up on someone you feel will be a star because of him. Hes done nothing to look past the best talent you see at #1.

Maybe if its a total tossup between a wing and a bigman...go with the wing. But if a bigman is the clear #1? **** Noel. He can fall into line or get traded to a not quite contender for a late first rounder.

He has potential. But to pass on a great prospect he has to show more than potential.

Teams can have 3 quality big men.

Is there something I'm missing?

Offensively, he's quite limited right now, but I believe eventually he can be a reliable 12-13ppg, 11rpg guy. Even today, he is showing signs of becoming an elite defender/rim protector.

He's great in slamming the door shut on the PnRs, and he even defended Wade 1 on 1 the other night in Miami.

He's gonna be okay. Imagine Embiid/Noel, 2 more 1st round picks(1 lottery) in 2015, KJ Mcdaniels and MCW progressing, and then Saric the year after.

There's gonna be life in Philly again.

He has no offensive moves what so ever and he's too thin to play against NBA bigs. He still very raw but has shown enough for me to be confident that he can play at an all-star level in the future. It's hard to play on a team which's only goal is to lose every night.

He's not that good?

The Sixers are a joke. They turn gold to shit.

Ive been wondering lately why people seem unimpressed with depth. The Bulls have Noah, Taj, Nikola, and Pau....and people keep mentioning that someone might have to go. Why?

Just...be deep. Let everyone go all out and keep minutes low. If you have guys willing to see the hit in their numbers....its the right play.

But on the other side...you have to take care of them on the back end. Guys arent playing 26 minutes then getting a 4 year 32 million deal when they can be playing 35 elsewhere and get a near max offer.

Pay them what they are worth...not what they produce. Keep everyone happy.

Thats a problem with some owners. Sad to say...the Bulls have that issue.

We might see if Philly does too.

Im dreading the point when Taj, Nikola, and Noah are all out for big money. Pau will probably be on the way out by then...but still. We wont pay all 3.
