Saw Derrick Rose This Morning.....

On my way into work. I work in an office building here in downtown Indianapolis and he was coming out of a law office on the 1st floor with his child(s) mother. I've seen other high powered people coming out of that law office too its called the Law office of Mark Zuckleburg...I know its close to the dude who started Facebook but this guys name is spelled different...

Anyway, I work on the 3rd floor so I was getting on the elevator and I was looking down. By the time I looked up, it was almost too late to really speak even though he did make eye contact and then he walked out the building. This was about 10:15 this morning, eastern time. I have to be at work at 10 so I was actually late and would not have ran into him if I were on time. Its funny cause I work with a HUGE Bulls fan that was kinda pissed that I didnt' say anything to Rose. I guess he was hoping that he would come up to the 3rd floor or something:confusedshrug:

Its also not unusual to see athletes in the building I work in either. There's many other law offices/medical offices in the building where I work and Andrew Luck lives in some condos at the top of the building so I've ran into him twice since I've been working there, which is about 10 months now....
Anyway, if I had actually had time to talk to him, I would have asked him about his knee cause like I've said before on here, I can relate having messed up BOTH knees numerous times and in my case, I've never been able to afford to have them looked at so I just stopped playing altogether. People don't understand the mental hurdle with knee injuries, its not like other injuries. If I had spoken to him, thats all I would have said is don't listen to all the haters, listen to your body and your mind. People have not torn ACL's, etc, blown kneecaps before, don't understand the mental part. I've torn ACL's, and had misplaced kneecaps so I do understand. Sprained ankles, even broken limbs on a certain level don't compare.

Just thought it was kinda cool. The Pacers play the Bulls tonight. Last week I saw Ian Mahimi on the circle(downtown) and Anthony Davis in Circle Center Mall...If anybody's ever been here, its not rare to see athletes in the downtown mall, its the nicest mall in the state basically....I spoke to Ian, I didn't speak to Davis because he had his hoodie on and a couple of people with him. It didn't look like most people recognized him, especially with a hood on so I didn't go over and speak to him because I didn't want to blow up the spot and have folks realize who he was and come running over to him. It was crowded in the mall that day.

Yeah, now that I think about it, you're probably right. I do think it would have been nice for him to hear a fan of the opposing team that understands where he's coming from with his knee and can relate to him. LoL, I know that came out wrong...I walked into the building and just happened to be looking down.....I do look down often though.....And then when I looked up to go towards the elevator, I noticed them coming out of the law office..Its directly across from the elevator...He made eye contact so I still had time to speak but there was a second of disbelief, like is that really D. But when I had floor seats, he interacts with his teammates, and coaches in a much more relaxed, normal demeanor. No awkward cadence or speech impediments either. I saw him relaxed talking to Wilbon, and David Aldridge during warm ups the same way.

If this is true, it makes perfect sense cause like I said, there are condos at the top of the building...Basically I can go up to the 4th floor and no higher because its like a special entrance or something where you need a code to get up to the condos. The 2 times I saw Andrew Luck, it was in the parking garage directly behind the building....

IUPUI is the closest university, its a pretty big campus, stretches a few blocks...I could see her going there...

But I think it may have something to do with the condos. There's no security desks or anything in the building......Honestly, people can walk through building pretty freely which was always strange to me considering there's many different offices in that building and companies. Now I need a badge to get into my call center but people can go up the 4th floor and walk through the hallways as they please. Front and back door to the building are unlocked until like 6pm. There may be some doorman up beyond the fourth floor, Ill have to check that out. Thanks for the idea.......
