I'd say it's not enough, I'd like to see 100 games in the regular season and best of 9 playoff series.

Also teams should play 6 v 5 if it's a home game (6th player will be a mascot).

Refs never call technicals on player, no matter what they say. They can say "**** your mother in her honey nut cherrios bitch ass fa'ggot little nikka", yet they can't do shit.

Players can fight each other during game if they are the same race.

Since it's a matter of opinion and not fact, you can't prove me wrong

Bench players should provide any tools to help teammates in a fight such as metal chairs, stools, bags full of ice, PVC pipes. They should also provide psychological edge by cheering and shouting loud obscenity such as comparing opponents' wives and girlfriends to sweet food products (shouting "Your mom rides a Lambo" at LeBron is recommended over girl insults).

there should be 82 games in a season, but the season should be a month or two longer to help get rid of back to back games. what the hell do basketball players need a long off-season for?

It's too long but this league is about making money. Less games equals less money to everyone involved...

But as a fan I'd say 50-60 RG games should be more than enough.

66 games. Lockout style.

The owners would agree to extend the season before they would to scale it back.

im not sure if they'd be very comfortable with that. they might not be themselves knowing that the whole world is listening.

Can you imagine listening to Kawhi Leonards all night it'd be dead silent.:oldlol:

Eliminate the conferences and divisions. Make it a 30 team league where every team meets the other twice a season, one home and one away game. 58 games total per season. 16 best teams overall goes to the playoffs. Problem solved.

I would love for that to happen.

all of the arenas are used for more than basketball, so stretching the season out would most likely make it more difficult for a) scheduling games b) scheduling other activities c) lebron is too young to be sitting regular season games for rest

Because there are so many meaningless games. There is no need for an 82 games season. They should eliminate 20 or so games of back to backs etc. No team should be playing four games in five nights. Who wants to watch that team playing their fourth game in five nights? The product is garbage. It would be better for the overall quality of the league. It will also never happen but I wish that it would. I would much prefer quality over quantity.

So true. Plus throughout a season some teams start off hot, others start cold..others end hot..etc. The season is that way for a reason. I think it's great. For people that don't know it. Wilt back when he played proposed having a shorter season, and he was a person that rarely missed a game or minute. I don't think a true fan complains.

if you had 200 regular season games, do you realize how little important, relevant or exciting every game would be?

Amount of Games is fine. Follow college ball of you don't like so many games. I love it!

Meaningless games if you're a Hornets fan or something. I like to watch superstars play so IMO there's a lot to watch every night.

I feel the preseason should be shorter so we can have less B2Bs...

Go tell the OKC fans that the season is too long. They will probably make the playoffs because there are 82 games. If it was less, we'd have one of the best teams out of it due to injuries...

Exactly. Anyone who just wants to get to the playoffs quickly is not a real fan of pro ball. They are just a fan of high-leverage games.

Part of enjoying the sport is watching development over the season.....experiencing the highs and lows etc.

66 games. Lockout style.

I like 66 games...but definitely not lockout style. Maybe start the year a little later and cut the amount of back to backs way down.

66 games and no back to backs...with a full week off for all star break would be the perfect schedule for players...and would give us fans the best product on the floor.

Take the Mavs vs Wizards game last night. Just a total joke...and that game doesn't happen like that as often if the Wizards aren't playing 3 games in 4 nights and coming off a tough game against the Rockets the night before.

They were tired and maybe 70% the team they normally are.

This is why I can't go to extremes about players/teams in the regular season...there are way too many free wins/meaningless games in the regular season for teams.

We aren't learning anything about the Mavs or Wizards from last night...I know that.

Yes we do, Greg Smith can play 5-10 minutes each game and be productive.

Every team should play once per day. Managing when to give players rest would become part of the strategy.

they need to reduce the 15 games on friday and redistribute them the rest of the week.

tues/thurs 2-3 game rotation sucks

I don't think it's too long, but they shouldn't have to play back to back games

I think 82 games is about good, although in an ideal world each team manages minutes for star players, role players and bench warmers properly so injuries are minimized and young players get developed.

HS - ~35 games for State Champs at 32 min/gm = 1120 min
College - ~38 games for Champs at 40 min/gm = 1520 min
NBA - 82 games +~25 games for Champs at 48 min = 5136, not including USA obligations, preseason, etc.

So you could literally have a Soph early entry play in 1 NBA season what they had in the 4 years previous.

OF COURSE ITS TOO MUCH.
