The Cavs have a 5.3 million trade exception from the Bogans trade. No restrictions.

The Cavs just got a 4.9 million disabled player exception from the AV injury. Can only pick up a player on a one year deal.

What should the Cavs do?

Three scenarios:

1. Trade for Joel Anthony (either exception).
2. Trade for Andrei Kirilenko (either exception).
3. Sign Ray Allen to a one year deal.

The Cavs get rim protection with either or both 1 and 2, and get another shooter with no. 3.

Other ideas? Discuss.

This is your best trade idea ever.

I like Joel Anthony but he would be a very low grade acquisition to supplement Andy's absence.

He's still in recovery until he's given the green light. I have a feeling that we'll likely never see him again. Sounds like chronically damaged goods to me.
