With he and Varejo out (is Marion out too??) he knows the cavs will struggle even worse than the have been and probably hopes this will lead to blattes firing.

Except for the fact that him not playing gives Blatt an excuse to not win. If he wanted to get Blatt fired he would play through his injuries, leading to more 5-19 games and would get Blatt fired for sure.

Either old man age has great timing, or this was planned. It would explain his lack of explosiveness. If it really is just injuries it just figures since he just turned 30 and has never miss this type of a stretch. The way the Cavs have been playing they'll be lucky to even get .500 during that span.

Cavs don't even have that option. Lebron has made them their bitch and is holding them hostage. There's too much at stake here.

[QUOTE]LeBron James is expected to miss the next two weeks with knee and back problems, the team announced Thursday. James has missed the last two games with a problematic left knee and conceded the injury had been bothering him since the start of the season.
This is another crushing blow to a team that has lost its last three games and four of its last five while the injuries continue to mount.
An MRI, radiograph and physical exam revealed left knee and lower back strains for James, which will be treated with anti-inflammatories, rest, treatment and rehab. The timing is less than idea since the Cavs

I don't get all the conspiracy theories here. Lebron is injured, plain and simple. It's not like he wasn't due, after 11 seasons with almost no injuries.
Besides, aren't you haters always claiming he's declining? That would seem to be consistent with knee problems, especially for a freak athlete like Lebron.

I agree. The Cavs will get exposed without LeBron, just like the Heat have been. They needed LeBron just to get to 0.600. Even with Love back they will struggle. That said, if LeBron played they would still be underdogs against DAL, HOU, GSW, LAC and CHI. They would be even money with PHX. Only against CHA, PHI, SAC, and LAL would they be favored. What will be more revealing than their poor W-L record without him is how badly they incur those losses.
I do find it interesting that the consensus is the Cavs will struggle without LeBron. Has a LeBron James team ever stayed afloat without him? The reason this is significant is there are many superstars who do not have the same trend occur when they are out, either consistently or in some years. In LeBron's case, though, his teams are garbage every time he is out--or after he leaves a team. This despite rhetoric about the Heat being the "most stacked team of all-time" just a few months ago, which was followed up with talk about how stacked the Cavs are.
Let's face it, without LeBron the Cavs, Heat are no better than, say, the Sacramento Kings or Denver Nuggets.

It makes no sense from a true competitor's point of view, sure. But remember, LeBron has a history of quitting when things get tough. He doesn't like adversity. It was his whole point of going to Miami: "Gun be easy". When it's not easy, he tends to get real wobbly and then shut down mentally.
This well could be another case of phantom playoff elbow for old LeQuit.

First of all, you clearly have no clue how HGH works.
Secondly, he doesn't have a history of injuries, it's quite the opposite. For 12 years he's played through almost all the issues he's had, and logged more minutes than anyone else in the league. No player in league history has played more minutes before the age of 30 than Lebron, in the regular season or the playoffs.

Lebron has had back issues for years, people ignore that part. He played through it in the past, though.

01-01-2015, 06:08 PM
Hmm ... These knee and back issues could be the reason for the dramatic visible dip in athleticism. Which both the injuries and lack of explosion could be due to the revamped HGH testing policies.
It's also rather convenient that people in Bron's camp say the knee is fine, kind of like the Phantom Elbow of the 2010 playoffs, yet he's poised to miss all these games.
He had a horrendous game at home vs the Pistons. Missed three straight games, then chooses to miss 2 whole weeks on a difficult West coast road trip ... conveniently right around the time of a fractured relationship with this new coach and a not so glowing endorsement? Sketchy.
Poor Blatt. He's not even being given a chance. At least Kyrie has the heart, and fortitude to play hard for him ... Not in chill mode, and protects him with his words to the media.
Either situation doesn't paint LeBron in the best of lights. Particularly the latter. That's just manipulative, and shady attempt to get a rookie head coach fired for no reason.
If it's truly nagging injuries or soreness, I hope the rest makes it better so he can get healthy to see a some what return to form to how he was previously. That'd be good for the league.
I can't stand any hint of Harden for MVP type talk.

I know most hate Harden...but playing great is playing great. He's putting up 28/7/6 60% TS while playing above average defense at his position. He's also carried his team to many wins despite losing Howard. He's got as good as argument as any for MVP to date.

Doesn't change the fact that in terms of impact Harden has been a monster this year.
Also, he's really shooting better now. 44% overall and 36% from 3. And he's taking 7 threes a game.
His efg% is 51%.
As a frame of reference, Rose's in 2011 was 49%.
So...on efficiency from the field only Harden is more efficient than MVP Rose.

It's not only from the ft line. And the post season has nothing to do with MVP.
Again....
Harden efg% 51%
MVP Rose efg% 49%
MVP Kobe efg% 50%
From the field alone...Harden is more efficient. That has nothing to do with ft's.
Actually not a surprise.. he clearly hasn't been "Lebron" this season
4 trips to the finals with a team usa stint in there, make for a tired player... then a new team that's struggling to meet expectations, grueling road trip ahead then rumors abut his tuning out the coach and teammates being a bit disillusioned with him, this sitting out is kind of like a total reboot to see if he can get things back on track for a playoff push

What is this random knee soreness bran has been using as an excuse this year? If it's only a strain it makes no sense that it has been hampering him all season, any ligaments that would of been strained would of healed by now. Only thing that causes ongoing knee pain could be meniscus issues.

So...on efficiency from the field only Harden is more efficient than MVP Rose.
Why is Derrick Rose the barometer? You hate D-Rose, and really hate his 2011 MVP season.
Are you finally by default conceiting he was a legit MVP by making the comparison? 2011 wasn't the best year for a true definitive, best player in the league caliber MVP in the League that season due to context.
Derrick Rose wasn't the best basketball player. It was between LeBron / Wade / Dwight Howard. But the context of everything ruled one or the other out. Iverson wasn't the best basketball player in 2001 either. It was Shaq / Duncan / Kobe
Same goes for this season, which is still in it's young stages. Only 30 some odd games in ... things can change.
I am not one to think Harden is a bad ball player, but he is overrated to an extent ... especially when taking into account playoff performance to build a better picture. But his PPG get dramatically padded with the absurd amount of calls, and types of calls he gets.
It's almost fool's gold. Until I see it in the playoffs, I'm not buying the hype of improvements. And while defensively he has shown more effort, he's still not above average.

Find me one post in which I've ever not supported Rose for MVP. I'll be waiting...I only ever said exactly what you just did. That Rose wasn't the best player in 11.
I actually argued with people frequently that Rose deserved MVP...so I have no idea what you are talking about.
All I was showing was that Harden's efficiency from the field is not bad at all. In fact, a 51% efg is actually quite good for a guy scoring 28 points per game.
Kobe, for example, has a efg% of 49% from 01 through 10...
Again...the playoffs have nothing to do with best player or MVP of the regular season.
I agree that this style is not well suited for the playoffs, but don't see any logical correlation between the regular season MVP and the playoffs.

Lebron out for 2 Weeks?
The old lebron on HGH wouldn't miss a game :lol
IF this is to get the coach fired, wow...who would go there. :facepalm
What is this random knee soreness bran has been using as an excuse this year? If it's only a strain it makes no sense that it has been hampering him all season, any ligaments that would of been strained would of healed by now. Only thing that causes ongoing knee pain could be meniscus issues.
I think he is just being a big beta sook.
LOL, what are you talking about. I have pronated feet and I can tell you that my knee and back flair up all the time with no structural damage. If you participate in physical activity it happens.
We've seen Lebron wear a backbrace/heating pads and saw his knee buckle on tv, so the injuries arent made up. I guess it's just a question on how to treat them.
getting his coach fired? its not lebron who conveniently decides to sit out 2 weeks just like that, pretty sure doctors are the ones who decide that.
hopefully whatever is bothering him gets taken care of.
The good news is that he's been putting up 25ppg/8apg on 49% while not being 100%. Pretty sure he will return much better.

I doubt bran isnt some goofy footed fakkit, I've been through a fair share of knee injuries, a lot worse then Bran and knee pain only affects you if you are a little bitch and use it as an excuse.

You go to great lengths to suck on lebrons d.ck, you really do.
He could complain of back pain and decide to rest on his own accord. A doctor would have no problem granting lebron 2 weeks rest if he says his back is hurting.

lol, his feet are pronated as well if you know what that means. It's only a limitation because of the back/knee imbalances it causes. lol at this fggat, never worked out a day in his life. :oldlol:

I don't get why you're angry?
I don't believe firing coach Blatt is that important for lebron to make this whole thing up. The same thing was said about him and coach Spoelstra his 1st year in Miami too.
in the grand scheme of things, blatt is not worth doing all of this for. cavs have other problems.

How the **** do you know he has pronated feet? And why would it only affect him now? Try having a torn meniscus and two knee reco's, shit has never stopped me from playing ball despite the knee soreness, that shit goes away in game once your focused anyway.

It's not the fact that he isn't suffering from some injuries but it is the over exaggeration and the use of it as an excuse for poor play.
Goatbrook has been playing his best ball with a ****ing brace on his hand and you have never heard it say a word about it.

did I say they were? A hand is pretty ****ing important for basketball. If Bran's back injury was actually crippling and serious he wouldnt be able to run.

This sounds crazy, but how wins were they going to get WITH LeBron during this stretch? The way this team has been playing WITH LeBron, I wouldn't pick them on the road against any WC playoff team. Even teams like the Suns and Kings are tough games on the road, with or without LeBron.

Trolling aside it's obvious lebrons athletic decline this season is due to injuries more than anything else. Here is a video during the end of the summer AFTER his weight loss getting his head to the rim against what seem to be Asian kids.

I doubt he could loose this much athleticism in the month before the season started. He has been battling injuries all season. So hopefully he will bounce back in shape.
