What's impressive is that this is a number that had been used for a mathematical proof, while Googolplex is basically useless apart from the wow factor.

And since then, even bigger numbers have been used for mathematical reasons, like TREE(3), which is so big that...it's not even exactly known how big it is, but it's definitely vastly bigger than the numbers above.
