"I haven't played defense in a couple years," Rondo said. "I've been able to hide a lot with Avery Bradley on the ball. He's helped out, the young guy. But [in Dallas] they expect me to play defense and, in the West, if you don't play defense you'll get embarrassed every night at the point guard position."

Sounds like he was giving Bradley props rather than shit talking his own defense. We all know Rondo is a capable defender.

Lebron could say the same.

Lebron could say the same.

Yeah, difference is during those years he would be found literally begging for the DPOY award.

If Rondo was serious in tone of the comment, then I have to really be even more impressed with Avery Bradley.

Hope he locks down Rondo tonight.

also going to the finals, playing defense on big guys and small guys, playing for a team with no rim protection.

Good comparison, though the difference is Rondo play defense because his team sucked. Also Rondo is not a good player for a bad team.

LeBron was too busy trying to shoot 60% and perfect his stats instead of playing defense. Also by the time the meaningless regular season was over it looked like he forgot how to play defense. He's still MVP tho.

It doesn't matter what lebron did. He took a great player like BOSH and made him into a spot up shooter so anything he did in Miami was negated not to mention Allen saved his career with the greatest shot in the history of the game.

That great player, Bosh, managed only a few playoff wins in 7 years as the main man. Why do people keep bringing up this nonsense about hurting Bosh's legacy? It's comical. Again, Bosh won 3 or 4 playoff games... in 7 years as the main man. His poor, poor legacy. Unless you put stock in individual numbers without any kind of winning team, his legacy was worse than Melo's before joining the Heat.

sounds like to me he was confessing and owning up to not concentrating on defense the last two years.

now he knows that that is what he's here for, he'll get back on it.

people been talkin a lot of sh it about his last couple of years. he just wanted to settle that.
