Byron Scott is not a good head coach. The team plays better when Kobe takes less shots and passes more.

Why is there such a fascination with the fine tuning the Lakers offense when its ranked 13th in the league?

How about coming up with a new defensive strategy? It's ranked dead last and is historically bad. The statistically enlightened media are terrible at their jobs.:facepalm

Lin played an incredibly efficient offensive game and Scott thinks this. Biggest ****ing idiot in the NBA.

My internet right now is slower than Roy Hibbert so I can't load a picture of a tank. But its a tank move

Sounds like ownership got in Scott's ear. Kobe distributing and picking his spots lead to winning basketball, but also derails the tank. Not right for this guy to be spending his last, albeit productive years with a descending franchise.

It's more about proper balance. Kobe has this all or nothing mentality. Either he is shooting high volumes or he is distributing a lot. He has never found that balance where he does both. I know it's asking a lot from Kobe and it sounds like no one is ever satisfied, but he really is all or nothing on offense in terms of shooting

If this were true, he wouldn't have seasons of 35 points and 5 assist. Or 30 points and 7 assist. Or multiple playoff series of 30+ points and 5/6/7 assist per game.

Or the final series of 30 points and 7 assist per game

Smart man:applause:

At this point it's whats best for the team. Whats the point of even trying to win games anymore? Just pass to Lordbe, let him break records and then next season when we get randle back and our brand new lottery pick we'll be contenders:rockon:

When you have the ball in your hands 90% of the time, you are going to get assists. He is a decent passer which is why he gets those averages but many assists he would get would be the clock running down or because he was double or even tripled and found a open teammate. In other words, he looks to shoot first and pass second. in his career, he isn't a guy like Magic where he looks to get guys going. This isn't a knock to him bc he is a pure scorer, and it's difficult to find balance and fight who you are naturally.

Kobe needs to cut his shooting down to like 12 shots a game if he's gonna be this inefficient

In b4 Kobe goes 11/30. Now he can at least say his coach told him to play like this. :lol

20 secs left on the shot clock, 20.5 secs left on the game clock and down one point, the opposing team has the ball and the PG is content to just sit at the top of the 3 point line and run the clock down. If he doesn't shoot, you get 0.5 left with one 20 sec timeout left. If he shoots at the shot clock buzzer and it hits the rim, you won't get another shot.

Kobe says to foul. Lin looks up at Byron Scott and says not to foul. Kobe says to foul. No one listens, so he bolts up the court and fouls Conley after 10 secs or more have run down.

Either Byron Scott is the dumbest coach in NBA history, or the Lakers are tanking. In other words, who cares what he says.
