5-30 record with their roster is a joke. They're definitely tanking. Given up wide open looks to players that are not even looking at the ball is a purposeful act. They've also lost a lot of close game in the 4th and made no sense plays.

They're definitely tanking.

Don't know why people always seem so shocked about this team being pitiful. Yes they're underachieving, but who really expected them to be good? They're underachieving in the sense that they should be at around the 10-13 win mark right now...

They're not tanking. They just suck... Flat out

They are tanking now, but it didn't look much better when they weren't. Sitting out Amar'e for a week for "rest" is tanking, as is thinking about shutting Melo down for the season, but at the beginning of the season these guys were playing and still haven't gotten more than a handful of wins.

Doesnt NYK owe their pick to someone?

Why would they tank?

Although it seems blatantly obvious.

No. They are just as good as their record shows. It was only the idiotic Knicks fans ridiculously overhyping their roster, saying Carmelo Anthony is a better scorer than Durant, JR Smith is as good as Wade if not better, Amare is still a top 10 big man in the game if not injured, Calderon is the best pure shooter in the league, Tim Hardaway Jr. is already better than his daddy ever was, Samuel Dalembert is a top 3 rim protector in the NBA etc etc. Everyone other than those Knicks fans already knew that they would win as many as 25 games if lucky.

Nope, Knicks own their 2015 first round lottery pick.

There are weaker rosters who are above 500. They are terrible at the moment. Either they're tanking or they have the worst coach in the league.

The Knicks trash. They need to start drafting guys instead of trading for other teams leftovers

Look at their roster... They have very little talent.

I do not think so. Maybe you would be thinking the big 3 of Carmelo + Amare + JR Smith is as good as any big 3 of the league so they should at the very least make the playoffs(this was what the Knicks fans were thinking), but the problem is Carmelo's game itself never matched his popularity, Amare is a shell of his former self and JR Smith is a net negative, low bball iq shot jacker who plays no defense. And the other guys are pretty much D league level talent.

The Nets are 500 right now and they are kind of on a little run now.

Not much difference in roster talent.

If you removed the best player from each team in the league, the Knicks would by far be the worst team in the NBA in like the last 10 years. Without Melo this team is record setting bad.

Nets are much better right now. Easily. The thing is the Nets have (and this is ridiculous) even less of a long term plan than we do. There long term plan is stars flocking to them for some reason. Despite them no longer spending like drunken sailors, and their young talent looking like rotation pieces, not stars, Kevin Durant dreams of playing there. The Nets don't control their first round pick till 2019? Something ridiculous like that?

I just think the Nets have all players committing to their system. NY have enough talent to be a team around the 500 mark but they're playing with no heart and leadership.

The K don't like to tank.

It's officially the Brooklyn Knets now.
