Secondly Marc

jusuf seems to be decent prospect. strong with nice coordination. fits perfectly in denver offense. i can see him as a starting C in dever after they get rid of mozgov.

The kid is gonna be a great player. I really really like his game. He is a good rebounder, a good defender, got nice post moves, is agile and mobile, got a great attitude and his basketballIQ is also pretty good. I can see him becoming the best player of the team at the end of the season if Shaw bench Mosgov and let the kid play 30+ minutes.

we shall see when mcgee recovers from injury. he has time to establish himself at the coaching stuff.

He really has a similar game to Marc Gasol. He could be a very good passer, and I think he will be a better rebounder than Marc.

He started out slow in the season, but its mostly due to adapting on NBA style of basketball. He was often in foul trouble, but in the last couple of games it seems that he is figuring it out.

And he was +29 last night in 23 minutes of play which is ridiculous.
I think he is the player with the best +/- on that Denver team this season and its only the matter of time when he will start getting 30+ minutes.

From those several seconds you can tell he's an arrogant punk who is so aware of himself even as a rookie. Lets see what happens (nothing).

''I really respect him. Him and his brother (Pau), really good players in this league and in Europe,'' Nurkic said. ''But I never look who's playing on the court.

''In this league, I just play how I need to for my team to win.''

After the game. Not arrogant. Just goes after it. I've been really impressed with him. Really mobile for his size, really strong. Good basketball IQ. He's made some really slick passes. Quick hands, and good hands around the basket. He's rushed some shots, missed some easy ones that I think will come with more experience. Just turned 20 like 5 months ago.

From what I've heard he once beat up a lot of guys at once and there was an article in newspaper about it. Then some basketball coach or agent read that found him and asked him does he have a son and that's how Jusuf started playing basketball.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BrJ0-eWCAAAOB9d.jpgSweet mother of god. I've read he's "just" 6'10'' but still.

Also, Nurkic has some interview gems so far.

On the NBA pace: "So much fast."

On dancing: "Dance with the girls? Yes. With the boys? No."

im in denver right now (from norway), and i met him after the raptors game

he's a really cool guy

easily my favorite player, future of the franchise. He has really quick feet, switching is no problem. Ive seen him shut down CP3 and Kobe among many other perimiter players. ****ing great rebounder, and i thought Faried was great. Very good passer, best bigman passer i can remember us having, slightly better than Nene and similar to Gasol in that way. You could really run an offense through him in a couple of years, Got goot post moves and uses his big size very well. Very capable shooter, Really good FT shooter and i saw him drill 6 threes in a row during warmups, But he needs to have a bit softer touch close to the basket, and dunk it more often. And foul less

Where's the Immortal?

I said he would be a solid role player in this league based on effort and hustle bustle alone when I saw him play the bulls

I honestly think Nurkic is gonna be better than McDermott and w/e Harris gives Denver is gravy. Thought the Bulls were too aggressive to move up like that.

I really like Nurkic and they stole him at #16. Should be a legit starting C that can get it done on both ends.

Well, if he isn't what I thought he is all the better then. He did come out of nowhere though, right? Could he be like a replacement for Pekovic, playing the way a big man should?

Very promising player.

The way he came across as arrogant bothered me though. I'm all for confidence out there but Nurkic was acting like a pric after making some good plays against both Gasols.

Of course Marc was the bigger man and pulled him aside peacefully and respectfully.

Not a great one, even if he gets some blocked shots. He isnt the most athletic player, but im cool with that

duskovujosevic
01-05-2015, 05:25 PM
agree with kurple. not that ibaka tyoe athletic shot blocker, but still has nice positioning on the defense, and feeling where the opponent might finish.

SwishSquared
01-05-2015, 05:29 PM
He should be a pretty good defender in the long run due to his nimble feet and by playing angles/rotating at the right time. He won't get a ton of blocks most likely but you can be a good defensive big by just altering shots.

Or am I completely wrong haha? Wish I could get a chance to watch him more often.

more mobile version of nikola pekovic and less prone to injuries. among top 7 C's if everything turn good.

by the way 14pts/6rbs/4bs/2st/2to vs minesota.

mozgov +/- -10
nurkic +/- +17

Marc Gasol or something similar
I don't think he'll develop the type of high post game Marc has, though. Marc's been among the top 5 in shooting % from midrange; I feel Nurkic will play closer to the basket.

I do think once he develops, his defensive style will be similar to Marc's. Such a solid talent.
