Kobe Bryant has now missed 13 straight game-tying/go-ahead FG in final 5 seconds of 4th quarter/OT.

His last make was March 2012.

He must miss being relevant.

I thought the one he took against the Grizz was a pretty good look considering the circumstances.

Why limit it to 5 seconds? Isn't the three he hit with 24 seconds on Friday clutch? So that doesn't count as a clutch opportunity but an impossible fadeaway 3 with .6 seconds does?

He has made many clutch shots this year but missed buzzer shots. The reason they chose 5 is so the stats look bad for Kobe. I would bet you if you looked at 10 seconds or under a minute in general, it'd tell a different story.

Here's a clip from a game vs. the Raptors in 2013:

NONE of those shots are included in this misleading stat because the closest one happened with 6 seconds left

Lol what an arbitrary number. He has made plenty of clutch shots this year....just not game winners or game tying shots. Should of shot it the other day instead of passing to Ed Davis!

Still though, says the Lakers were that close in 13 games and didn't pull it out. That is more surprising to me than anything else.

Oh right, that's 4-5 seconds from being clutch.

I wonder how many full court shots or 0.5 shots were included here.

If only Kobe held the ball 4 seconds longer he could have been clutch

more than half of those 13 shots are just as impossible as the attempt he was forced into taking the other night vs GS

a second or 2 on the clock. having to catch and shoot a fall away three over 3-4 guys cause his team mates are either morons or putting him in that situation to begin with

if he made 2-3 of these shots it woulda been more than acceptable. missing all of them is kinda bad i guess. nothing more to see here. move along

can say the same for any other player who's ever played in the NBA.

fact is kobe just isn't clutch according to both numbers and eye test.

Nope. He should have waited 5 seconds.

Still 0-13.

In other words.....worthless stats.
