Can someone place remind me how it works with the worst record. I seem to remember hearing that you're guaranteed to get either 1,2 or 3 overall pick, is that correct?

No.

Top three picks are chosen via the lottery. Therefore, if you have the worst record and don't get a top 3 pick, then you are guaranteed the 4th.

The worst record is guaranteed a top 4 pick. All the teams that miss the playoffs are put in a lottery in hopes of getting a top 3 pick. Once the top 3 picks are selected, the remaining draft order is in order of their record. So, if 3 teams gets picked in the lottery over the worst record team, then the team with the worst record would be next in line (4th) due to their record.

It'd be nice if the Draft wasn't rigged the last 4 years though
