I was shitting on everyone with the Hawks in 2k12, Josh Smith was such a monster in that game. Just dunked on every drive and was a beast on D as well. Think my overall online record was 245-35. :roll:

2K balance is always an issue, defense is so weak athletic players just dunk on everyone, and every scrub seems to be a 3 point specialist too.

Been playing 2K since it first came out on Dreamcast. I honestly think 2K15 is the best of the bunch, at least on 360/PS3. Its not much of an upgrade from 2K14 but it IS an upgrade. 2K14 is the 2nd best to me and then Id go with 2K11 or 2K12, thats kind've a toss up for me.....

GOAT basketball game sure but GOAT sports game is very broad. My problem in 2K11 was your team's SF chucking bricks all game unless you played SF, then it would be a different position. I played SG for the Clippers and Hornets and Aminu/Ariza would regularly shoot 20 times a game. I saved before free agency and tried a few teams: Thunder, Heat and Bulls. Durant, LeBron and Deng were absolute chuckers

The thing is though that people have ALWAYS complained about 2K's controls...No matter which year. Its really just something you like or you don't like...Not really any in between...The game is animation heavy, I know what you mean, but it doesn't bother me. The key is knowing how to trigger certain animations when you want to rather knowing what animation will be triggered depending on where you are on the court, how close the defender is etc., and knowing how NOT to trigger certain animations...

Makes it seem like the game is all about being able to control the animations. But I still think there's an advantage to basic team ball, passing, moving the ball around, taking advantage of matchups and knowing each players weaknesses and strengths.......

One thing I noticed about 2k15 is that when a big gets an offensive rebound they never pass it out, always go back up, which I sorta hate. Every single time. I get it that more often than not they'll gather and try to go back up with it, but at the same time they'll kick it out sometimes for a better look.

Yeah I played 2K11 today...it's perfectly fine and has aged very gracefully for a sports sim. Only the controls feel slightly dated. I don't like the dribbling moves and movement both being on the left stick, but it's perfectly playable once you get used to it.

Animations are still fantastic. Driving to the rim with a good slasher feels great. Rose, Rondo, CP3, etc all have their own signature layup animations.

Defensive AI is probably better in 2K11 than it is in more recent 2K's tbh. Neither you or the CPU can get away with lazy passes, they trap and double team when appropriate, they defend the pick n roll intelligently, etc. You really had to earn your points in 2K11 (at least on the harder difficulties). 2K seemed to go in a more arcadey, offensive minded direction after 2K11, which came at the expense of defense.

When i first got the ps1 for christmas my sister didnt get me any games because she thought the demo disc was a game, so for like 2 weeks i played coolboarders 3 metal gear solid, and test drive 5 over and over. my first ps1 game was probably tony hawk's pro skater, and spyro the dragon. Man, i put so many hours into THPS and THPS2 those games were the shit.

but yeah, 2k11>> havent played the next gen 2k15 so idk about that one. I hate how dumb your teammates are in 2k14 though, you pass to a wide open teammate and they just stand there, or they pumpfake, or drive into the other teams defense. shit sucks.

I don't mind campers so much.....And you're right, Sawed off users are easy to deal with plus you can see it in there hands when they're coming towards you...Its just always annoying when you get killed by it......I've played a ton also, I'm like top 500 in KOTH, my k/d is around 1.6 I believe but you die more in KOTH and I'm a solo player mainly so I'm always playing against parties......But my points per match is close to 7000 which most people in KOTH hover around 4000-5000. Thats cause I ALWAYS go for the hill and all my kills come while trying to cap the hill, not from just messing around or going after other players on the map...I'm all about the win......my win/loss ratio is 2.6 I believe which is pretty good for a solo player....Too many MVP's to remember, lol....

I played GOW 1 and 2 also but I've played 3 WAY, WAY more. My internet was always on and off during those times:(
