Let me represent all Knicks fans by saying I will pass on all those trade offers. Thanks for trying, though.

Johns Hopkins Cancer Research Center should trade for him so they can study him more closely.

Been saying the Suns should do a Bledsoe plus filler for Melo. Creates balance.

Bledsoe, some young players and picks would be good for both teams.

Worst trade ever. Would completely ruin the Warriors defense and immaculate ball movement.

Hell, I wouldn't trade Iggy for Melo straight up.

I wouldn't give up too much for Melo. Especially not picks and players like Len or Warren.

Warriors would never give that up for Melo. It would kill them.

Melo would need to play with an elite PG in order to shine.

I always thought Dwight Howard and Melo would be a great combination / but winning a title probably is not realistic.

When Melo becomes a 3rd option , a ring would be possible... probably the same holds true for Howard.

Gotta get all the pieces lined up in the right place to give Melo a shot at making a run to the second round eh?

Jazz wouldn't want any part of Carmelo. They are running a system based on passing on defense. How does he fit into that? :facepalm

Really need to look at team needs.
IF the Knicks chose to trade Melo, they'd be looking for 3 things...
1) Cap flexibility
2) Young talent
3) Picks

Any team receiving Melo will need to believe that he is the missing championship piece; he's too old to build around.
So realistically, the only teams that should even consider trading for Melo are the top 10-11 teams in the West, plus the Lakers because they're stupid and think they can contend before Kobe retires, and the top 4-6 in the East.
Taking into account team fit and likelihood of taking the chance, I'd say the following teams would consider it quite strongly...

Toronto -- Derozan, Fields, Nogueira and a first
Washington -- Hilario, Porter Jr, Miller, a first and a second
Memphis -- ZBo, Prince, two firsts
Dallas -- Parsons, Ellis, protected first
Houston -- Ariza, Terry, Papa, Montejunias and a first
Clippers -- Redick, Crawford, Hawes, Barnes, CDR and a first
Suns -- Dragic, Tucker, Morris, Morris
Nuggets -- McGee, Hickson, Chandler, two firsts

Looking at all this, I can really only see Toronto doing that.

Don't worry, Bogut is not playing in the playoffs and OKC is knocking them out in the 1st round in 6 games

As a Knicks fan I want to start from scratch. I will take the Suns and Jazz offers, without knowing their contracts.

If any team would trade for him in the off-season, it would be the Lakers.

principle deals in reality might just not mean much

just as much as how players could be offer the exact same contract from different teams, and yet, still choose one over another.

I think Phil will take Goran, Len, Marcus... At the end of the day it will always start with Goran though.

Should? none. Some of them might though. I think Pacers would get better since hibbert is a joke most nights. and the suns might actually do better as well.

More and more I think you may be correct on the Goran tip. But certain on your latter statement. :D
