jr smith is an upgrade from waiters.

smith is an all-star level talent... great shooter... could propel the cavs to the Finals, where they will face an inexperienced houston or golden state.

cavs are more loaded than ever... basically 4 all-stars... it takes a great offense to win in today's game - you MUST have it.. and he could put the cavs over the top offensively.

no player in the history of the game has been handed more talent than lebron, except maybe shaq and magic.

He has all star level talent but he's never been able to fully put it together. With that said, I'm curious to see how he'll react to his new surroundings. Could be a rival of his slouching career...

Just ignore him. The Last time a Lebron team signed a former Melo and Nuggets player they won an NBA title in 2012 and 2013.

First off, all star talent? Great shooter? The most notable thing he's done the last two years is untie people's shoelaces at the FT line, and he's a VERY inefficient shooter compared to Miller, Dellavadova, and James Jones. He's mostly had bad games since signing his most recent contract. Finals? They're 19-16 and nobody outside of LeBron plays winning basketball on the team (Love and Kyrie have never played a minute of playoff basketball even!). JR and Shumpert likely won't bring that with their history of taking bad shots.

The other bold is true, but what about DEFENSE? The Spurs had a GREAT defense, as did Miami, and Dallas, and the Lakers, and especially Boston. I don't know of an NBA championship team that had bad defense, except the 2001 Lakers, but their defense was top notch in the playoffs, and with this Cavs roster, I just don't see them having the ability to play playoff defense. Love, Kyrie, JR, Dellavadova, Miller, James Jones, etc. Marion was a great defender, but he's older, and Shumpert's defensive abilities are hugely overshadowed by his lack of bball IQ and poor offense.

Basically, Cleveland traded a locker room cancer in exchange for TWO of them. And they needed a defensive big WAY more than another scorer and a wing defender, as Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson as your starting frontcourt will NOT win you a championship considering their defensive abilities, or lack thereof. That WILL be exploited in the playoffs by any smart team. Varejao is WAY more important to Cleveland than many realize.

As a Lakers fan i always wait to see how roleplayers of the Lakers or Knicks play on other teams. most of the time they are known and hyped because they play for those teams. i dont know if anyone would know Iman if he played for the Timberwolves. And good defender on the latest Knicks teams means nothing.

they are both talented but lets wait and see if they can help the Cavs to the NBa finals.

He should be a bench spot up shooter. The fact that he's athletic hurts his game, because I bet he thinks he has superstar potential because of it.

He's slow has a sloppy dribble and has to settle for step backs ALL THE TIME because of it. He'll somehow beat his man for an occasional flashy play/dunk, or one out his three step backs falls and he starts the cycle over. When he shoots a three directly after the catch he is money, but he'll make one, get excited and then go to his bad habits.

His high scoring games if you watch them are the one's where he gets the majority of his points off of catch and shoot threes. Games where he settles in mentally and makes 5+ catch and shoot 3's

Seriously not hating, that's exactly what he does and it's frustrating to have him on your team because of it. Net negative with non-existent defense

Cavs already have an elite offense when their stars are playing. I believe their ~5th in offensive efficiency and 22nd in D efficiency.
