Hmmm...He's basically a better Tony Parker. Sure.

They probably wont pay him and Kawhi though.

WTF

Dragic is elite.

What more do you want from your PG? Dude is average 17, 5 and 4 on 51% shooting

Never seen a borderline top 15 point guard get so overrated.

Well I thought he was better than Tony last year, solid this year and Tony Parker cant be relied upon to stay healthy with his seemingly permanent hamstring issues. :confusedshrug:

He's definitely better than Parker. Curry is the only guy you can say is better right now that Dragic without question.

I would love the Suns to keep him. But if we were to ever let him go, I wouldn't hate on him going to the Spurs. He will do well there.

Dragic living in injustice right now, playing great basketball but the media always find ways to hype Bledsoe instead. Must feel like shit for the Dragon

They keep playing Goran off the ball which is annoying as shit too, especially in the 4th of games in which he shoots 70% etc.

I'm also impressed with his defensive ability. The dude can get guard the 1-3 spots with ease.

Got outplayed by Mo Williams tonight. :oldlol:

Curry, Westbrook, Lillard, Wall, Lowry, Paul, Kyrie, Teague, Rose, Rondo, Conely, Parker, etc.

List is endless of the guys better than this guy, and yet he gets talked about like he is top shit. Dude isn't even the best PG on his team.

And how are you going to let Mario Chalmers average more assists than you? :oldlol:

Has it occurred to you that his efficiency may be in large part due to his being taken more off the ball, where players can get to their spots a little easier and be set-up as opposed to setting others up?

At this point, Dragic is listed as the team's SG. And, he has played well in that role.

Also, "he can guard the 1-3 spots with ease"? :oldlol:

On the season, Bledsoe and Dragic are very close in terms of usage. Bledsoe is at 23.9% and Dragic is 21.6%. Meanwhile, they've won 9 of their last 11. I think his role is just fine.

Their backcourt seems to be playing well together. Over the last 11, Bledsoe is averaging 19.1 points on 14.7 shots to go along with 6.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals. Over the same stretch, Dragic is putting up 18.0 points on 13.9 shots to go with 3.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 0.8 steals.

Fair to say Bledsoe has had a lot to do with their success as well.

I wouldn't want to overrate Dragic like that Dixon guy. But to be fair, Dragic had been the guy making the most adjustments for the team each passing season.

From being the primary ball handler to playing off ball, then along with the addition of IT and Hornacek going to his 3 point guards lineup, Dragic has been playing at the 3 spot in those situations. He adjusted, and had delivered fairly well so far.
Even so, the team and media kept finding ways and hyping Bledsoe. To the point I started feeling bad for the guy.

But as RBA said, they both been playing well and the gameplan has been working. Dragic is right where he is.

-Has it occurred to you that Dragic went 50/40/90 last season with Bledsoe missing half the season, no Thomas, and Dragic the primary ballhandler? I think it's safe to say Dragic is elite and doesn't need others to make him better.
-Whats wrong with the comment on his defense? He has guarded all 3 of those spots and extremely well. Try watching basketball sometime.

-Way to cherrypick stats. Show Bledsoe's stats with Goran on the bench and vice versa. You'll note that one guy struggles mightily while the other is unaffected. Hint: Bledsoe is the former.

Damn you're an annoying ****. Dragic was guarding Wiggins. Bledsoe was guarding Williams. At least get your shit straight before you pathetically attempt to get a rise out of another poster.

exactly remember 08-09 when Manu was hurt and they faced the Mavs in the first round?

They lost badly in 5 games to a Mavs squad whose starting 5 was Dirk, Dampier, Kidd, Antoine Wright, and Jason Terry

So he let Wiggins have his best game of the season? And he can guard 1-3? He can barely guard the point guards, let alone other positions.

You said he was a point guard, and he got outplayed by the other teams point guard. So it is irrelevant who is guarding who. He looked like the 2nd best point guard out there to Mo Williams last night. Mo freaking Williams.

No.

Dragic shot 11-16. Thats about 70% FG. With 4 assists and 4 rebounds.

Try again, son.

Parker isn't going anywhere - he'll retire a Spur.

Levity
01-08-2015, 05:08 PM
Dragic would be amazing on the spurs. his ability to probe the paint and kick it out to open shooters fits right in with what the spurs are doing. He plays defense, hits the long ball, and can get to the rim. hes a solid player in every facet.

Parker > Dragic :wtf:

People are overrating Dragic right now, but we would love to have him back up Tony Parker. Tony is injured but when healthy is basically a top 5 PG

We're chained with that contract, tbh.

We're chained with that contract, tbh.

I see it as make-up for his previous contract which was VERY reasonable for what were his peak years. This contract is definitely not worth it given his drop-off in speed, but as long as it doesn't affect signing Leonard and Green, I'm okay with it. Get rid of Ayres' contract and Spurs won't have a bad contract except Parker's ($15.4 million when he's 36).

With the increase in salary cap, Spurs should be okay re-signing their players, but how does one replace Duncan? Diaw, Splitter, Baynes, Ayres and Daye ain't gonna cut it - especially in the West (Zach/Gasol, Chandler/Dirk, Blake/Jordan, etc).
