Care to elaborate?

Don't really watch the Magic, but they're just about where I thought they'd be.

-Bad substitutions
-No real offensive game plan
-Makes his players play his terrible offensive gameplan
-Players tune him out
-Defensive mistakes all over the court even though he has good defenders on the team
-Doesn't actually know what in the **** he's doing
-Plays to his player's weaknesses instead of strengths

some of his coaching moves are lulzy as f*ck. tonight magic were down by 3 with 15 seconds left and he lets them just play it out. Doesn't call the timeout during any point. He also took Nicholson out who had just made 2 3s in a row.
Look at this defense during a play where there were .8 left. He literally had no one in the paint and told the players not to switch off the pick until the ball came in or some shit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlwp0PsYoms

Pop has cost his team like 10 games this year.

Well Jameer don't you just want to tank this season out anyway?

Lose big and hire somebody new after the season :confusedshrug:

I guess that's for the best. I just don't think there's a guy worth tanking for other than Okafor, and we won't get him.

While I agree they are about where they should be they've had a lot of games this season where they've played better than expected and should have pulled out some more wins. Vaughns really been rubbish, he also looks to be hurting some players development but giving them wildly inconsistent minutes or asking them to play roles they shouldn't be playing while ignoring their skill set.

Our offense lately has been pathetic. And I've heard some buzzing about a potential firing.

I don't see him fired until the off season tbh, firing him now achieves nothing really for me. If we did it earlier this year when we looked promising we could have tried to be a play off team but it's too far in to the year to really go for that, maybe as well tank the rest fire him in the off season then go for the play offs next year with a fresh coach.

That's the only reason he has his job right now. I know a guy on another forum I can't name that is a reporter and has inside scoop on the Magic. The home losses might cost JV his job. I don't think management is happy. Ticket sales are down again and we're not winning home games (we were nearly .500 at home last year too)

Well best case at this point you slip into the 8 seed, and that's really not a great prize.

Snag a top 5 pick, get a decent coach, and shoot for the playoffs next season with a good young core.

Problem is there doesn't seem to be the superstar potential of an Embiid/Giannis/Parker/Wiggins on this squad at the moment. Oladipo is a good player, I like Harris, and I guess Gordon could turn out good, but I don't think I'd take this core over the other teams in rebuild mode, (other than the Knicks, obviously).
