I think Matthews is gonna bother Wade a lot tonight. Wade can't just use his speed anymore.

I'll never understand how Aldridge is so overrated...He's basically Al Jefferson (not style, but effectiveness) with a good team around him. Guy averages about 20 shots to average 23ppg...and people suck his dick?!...I can't be the only one confused? He's basically a much shittier version of Sheed defensively...who also takes a lot more shots. That's Aldridge in a nutshell. He has no business being the number 1 guy on ANY TEAM.

Lillard's 1st step is electric
Wade da Gawd with a good start. Patiently waiting for WILTside to enter the game.

He plays defense. It's that simple. Al Jefferson wasn't dropping back to back 40 point games on the road in the playoffs. Oh, and this team actually wins games. For so called better PFs, like Davis, that winning record doesn't change. Blazers win with LMA.

LOL...so Aldridge shot was going down against...THE PATHETIC ROCKETS...one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Just like EVERYONE said with a brain...Alridge would cool off...and he did exactly that. The guy can't be counted on consistently for shit. He's a big man with a soft mid range game. He's basically a Chris Bosh who takes less shots and is worse defensively. He will never lead a team anywhere, period.

Jefferson gets doubled and tripled. How about Aldridge? The games I've seen rarely gets even doubled
I like Aldridge just saying if jefferson had a team as good as aldridge it would be a different story

Are you serious? You don't watch Blazer games as evidence by this comment. He gets constantly double teamed. Sometimes triple.
Blazers never double anyone so I know for a fact Jefferson was covered single coverage. You watch tonight. When Aldridge gets the ball 4th quarter the double is coming. Death, taxes, LMA getting doubled in the clutch.
Danny Granger roasted on defense. Ugh. His mobility is shot.

I probably go to more Blazer games than you do. He might get doubled occasionally but lets be honest I am comparing him to how often jefferson gets doubled or tripled which isn't close
I am not saying Aldridge is a bad player I am saying jeffersons never had as good as an opportunity.

And I'm saying there is no way in hell the Blazers would ever trade LaMarcus Aldridge for Al Jefferson. If they wanted Al Jefferson they could have him and more players if the Blazers offers Aldridge. That says something about the talent gap. Al Jefferson can't carry a team like Aldridge does. Their records prove that.

It's hilarious how overrated Aldridge has become since last year. He averaged a career high in points right?...he also averaged a career high in shot attempts. (by a good margin) Aldridge wasn't any better last year...he just shot more...so he scored more points. I know it's amazing how that happens (for some of you apparently)...he wasn't efficient though. He wasn't making a good case for taking more shots. He was a guy taking 20 shots to average 23 points. He's the same guy this season.

I'm not saying Lillard doesn't get calls but if he got what Harden got. Harden gets calls for flinching. Lillard actually gets contact on the drives. I'd rather just neither of them get those weak calls. Just saying if you are going to give it to one player give it to another. Reputation calls ruin the game.

Wade would make the Blazers a championship team. I have no doubt. Just looking at the passes he can make. He's a clever player and that is why he will be able to extend his career when the knee really goes.

I just love the winning plays Aldridge makes. His efficiency doesn't show because he doesn't get to the line 10 times a game like some guards that flop.
if you add just a few more FTs a game you're probably taking 28 PPG on 17 or 18 shots. Instead he gets up a few misses that don't draw whistles. It really is a factor in how his numbers look. The proof that those numbers don't matter is he is the team leader and we're one of the best teams in the league.

I was watching Wade when he went down. It looked like he came down, realized he was going to miss, and extended his arm into Leonard to make it look like there was contact. It was like watching someone shove another person but pretend they were the one that got pushed. Bizarre flop and not sure how he got hurt.

The worst part about all of this is that the narrative is going to be the Heat without LBJ suck when really it's that Spo has taken a monumental step back as a coach. Not saying we have enough to be a top team, but we should at least make the playoffs in the east. :facepalm

How does a team with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Deng not be at least .500?
The funny thing is, I called it before the season, and it still pisses me off slightly. Get a new coach. He has no idea what he is doing, and he can't even stick to his damn motto of defense first.

Spolstra was never a good coach. Lebron was just so damn dominant you'd have to be a retard to lose with him. This is why they lost to Pop. He's such a superior coach to Spolstra it didn't even matter because they Heat couldn't overpower them with just Lebron and Wade.

Lillard's release point is different tonight. Two threes he's shot, both misses, it looked like he brought the ball too far back. Too much arm movement even though he's an arm shooter.
Trade Deng, Birdman, and Chalmers for whateve you can get. Play Napier, Ennis, and Whiteside 40 minutes a night.

Yeah, Birdman is 36 and on his way out. By the time the Heat are good again, he'll be finished. If we can get a second round pick for him, I'd deal him. Gotta start collecting some futures assets now.

Birdman is pretty bad and it's obvious Whiteside is much better and younger so I don't know why Anderson is even playing at all at this point. He has little to no trade value either so let him retire a "Heat".

He looked pretty good tonight and if he continues to play like that I'd be shocked if he didn't start taking Birdmans minutes.
Anderson is supposed to be this energy guy, but honestly he looked pretty lackluster tonight, and everytime Whiteside was in he made plays on both sides of the floor and was def a spark.

Knowing Spo, he'll probably put Whiteside on waivers and get Ennis to play center.

Whiteside needs to get starter minutes, kind of like what Gobert is getting right now with the Jazz.
He seems to be the missing piece. A legit rim protector. Now you can have Bosh slide back into his normal position and all is well.

But seriously Whiteside looked good. He should be starting as should Napier.
If not, move Wade to PG and take Cole outta there.
This should be the damn lineup by minute distribution:
Whiteside/Andersen/Hamilton
Bosh/Williams/Haslem
Deng/Granger
Chalmers/Cole
Wade/Napier
