Is he the best player in the game? What's the Heat's record with him replacing current Wade?

Any Wade model 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011 would be the best in the game currently. Hell, maybe 2005 version too. If people think Steph Curry is a beast ... they'd cream themselves over Flash.

Durant when fully healthy is better.

Not sure. Wade is clearly the better defense, creator, and distributor. More aggressive, and won't get shut down come playoff time. One of the rare players to pick his game up when the stakes got higher.

A 33 year old broken down past his prime Wade is averaging 23/6/4 on 50%. Just imagine what prime Wade would do. :oldlol:

Based on nostalgia and thinking that my era was the best - Wayde rulez everybody, destroys everybody whooo
Based on realistic expectations - a top 3-4 player with little to no PO success

'06 Wade won the Championship, ****tards. Heck, 2nd year Wade would've gone to Finals as well, if it wasn't for his injury in the ECF.

Wade imo is the better basketball player. I think a big part of Durant's success is directly related to his abnormal size/reach (for his position). So if you put Durant in Wade's body, he'd be nowhere as good as (prime) Wade imo.

I forgot about him. 23/14 in his rookie season.

MVP is the only possible answer to the thread.

Look at Miami's record without Lebron and Shaq.

It should give you an idea of how little impact Dwyane Wade has.

Healthy Durant and Wade would be fighting for MVP

Wade isnt clearly better then Durant so idk why peopple is saying such a crazy thing, even Davis would still have an arguement

and durant in wades body would suck??!?!?!?!!?
WTF Durant has a jump shot Wade would dream of, that dont need body and length thats just pure skill

You put any version of 2005-2011 Wade, Kobe or Lebron and they would be the clear best players in the league. I would even put Dirk in discussion,

This states how weak the league is nowadays.

I did not say he would suck! sure he'd still be a better shooter but mainly a spot-up shooter since he couldn't just shoot over anybody like now. Wade has to work a lot harder to get his shots off and let's not even talk about finding a way to get to the basket and finish! Wade's skillset in that department was far superior.

Yeah i know but Durant has handles and can create for others and himself, maybe not has good as Wade in his prime but we havnt even seen peak Durant yet.
Wade would be a beast in the league now but i would still take Durant

And Kobe without Shaq and Gasol?
Or Shaq without all-time great talents in Kobe, Wade, and Penny?
Duncan without a hall of famer?
KG without Allen and Pierce?

And if you put Wade in Larry Bird's body, he wouldn't nearly be as good as he was.

Wade's passing and play making and his Defense is better than Durant's. Wade is known to elevate his game big time in the Post Season. That's why Wade is better IMO. We haven't seen Durants Peak which should be next season but i doubt his passing or defense will ever reach the level Wade's was at.

Didn't even have an All-Star in 03: won 60 games and a ring.

 at Hall of Famer. Robinson's shell and Parker being benched for Speedy Claxton doesn't equate to Hall of Fame impact.

Top 3 with Durant and Lebron, the latter I'm giving the benefit of doubt for back/knee injuries being the reason for his subpar play( compared to last 3 seasons).

IMO he would be better than both.

Am I missing something here? Wade, Kobe, LeBron, and Dirk are all top 20 players of all time. How is one them being the clear best player in the league show how weak the league is?

Somewhere in the Top 3. I would like to see how Durant performs this postseason to get a better gauge of what class of player he TRULY is.

Any non 07/09 version of Flash would be a battle with Durant. Durant last year was up there with 09' Wade but Wade was still better by a slight margin.
