Say you support 2 or 3 teams?

yes. But supporting a player and no team is worse.
It's ok if it's from different leagues though.

It's a free world dude. Do whatever the hell makes you happy.
I for one, have a loyal allegiance to the team that plays in my city and it ends there. I care not to support anyone else. I appreciate and enjoy watching players who are signed to other teams but unless you're wearing a Raptors uniform, I'm really indifferent for the most part. When the Raps aren't involved in the playoffs (which has been often) I just watch and enjoy each game as a neutral.

You're entitled to do whatever you want, but I advise you not to be that chumpy fareweather fan who jumps on whatever bandwagon is rolling at the time. That's the worst type of fan IMO.
Pick a team or two and support them. Don't be a flip flopper...

Do whatever the hell you want, never let anyone tell you otherwise.
In my case I love a game concept in particular, and I love the players and teams that fit that concept. I do not believe in fanaticism.

clubs and franchises need supporters
it's one of the foundations of sports
without supporters there are no decent attendance ratings, there is no market and there is no arena atmosphere.
so sure, it's a free world. Recicyling for instance, is also an option. But common good is always the better option.

Supporter≠ Fanatic. In my opinion supporting a team is fine. Hating the rival team, his followers or people who support more than one team just don't make sense.

I am fan of my hometown team in Euroleague and national team. When it comes to NBA I do root for players and multiple teams, but still nr1 team for me is Raptors.

Same here. I love the game of basketball and my number one team is the Nets. I grew up watching Kidd. Raptors I've been rooting for them cause Toronto is kinda my hometown. Spurs since 1999. Just love Duncan and the way they play Basketball. And the Warriors, Klay Thompson is my 2nd favorite player in the league next to D-Will.

It's not "bad" in a sense. Fans can root for whoever they want.
But I just don't think you can root for 2 or more teams equally. Maybe I haven't seen a case yet.

I personally root for the Hawks in the East because of Bud and because they play great team basketball. I also root for the Grizzlies for similar reason.
I wouldn't consider myself a "fan" of those teams. I don't get upset when they lose or overly enthusiastic when they win. I don't put money into the franchise.
I do those things for the Spurs. I am a Spurs fan.

Nothing wrong with supporting whoever you want, whether it be a single team, multiple teams or individual players whose game you find aesthetically pleasing.

Multiple players and one team, used to be two (both LA teams).
