It surprises me that the 3rd release of the all star votes just came out and durant is 5th in west front court votes.

I'm surprised he's actually that high considering how many games he's missed, and how OKC is doing in the standings, especially with a stacked Western front court.

Ahead of players on top seeded teams like Dwight, LMA, Dirk, etc. :applause:

Durant has less votes than Chris Bosh:roll:

I'm surprised CP3 is that low. Is usually a lock for top 2, plays in LA, in commercials etc

Asian likes Kobe, Harden, and Curry more than CP3.

Has to be because of the fact that he's missed so much games.

He's mostly neutral on a lot of things and seems like a nice guy so it's hard to get excited about him one way or the other

compared to players like Lebron, Kobe... even Gasol seem to be more interesting since they always have crazy back-stories

I can see Kobe but where are you getting harden and curry from? :facepalm . Why aren't asian people all into Jeremy Lin? They were when he was in NYC but I thought he would get even more asian love in LA.. his popularity seems to be waning.

Kobe fans like curry while Harden is playing for the Rockets which is a popular team in Asia.

as a one time MVP player

I think he lacks stans, and his game generally speaks for itself.

maybe casual fans don't feel as excited as getting to watch him play

but one FA off-season and everything changes.

I wouldn't be surprised if he would be interested in seeing what other FA in his class could be interested in joining him in OKC, before he makes his decision.

one headline like that. Boom!

Lin sucks. Most of the Asian Kobe fans dislike him.

Havent we been through this? He was injured during the vote opening. Had he not been he would have been right at the top like has been been for years. You think people just suddenly started hating Durant?

Don't give me shit about missed games..Kobe last year was still a top vote getter, meanwhile peak KD gets outvoted by 30+ thousand against ****in 19 yeared Duncan..

Kobe stans are delusional. What do you expect?

How many votes did Durant get last year? You think the MVP and WCF lost cost him popularity?

Not really. You can miss a to of games and if you're popular, it means nothing

Dwight actually led in voting one year. He lost a ton of fans during Dwightmare

Injuries were a factor in deflating his vote totals but ultimately Durant's popularity is capped playing in a small market...he is a God in Oklahoma and will forever be, win or lose. Does he prefer that or does he prefer marketing dollars? If it is the latter, he needs to bolt OKC...(winning>market, though, and OKC, in addition to being his adopted home, presents a great prospect of winning so long as Westbrook also is there)
