At least when he plays he carries them to close games, when he doesn't play they get completely roflstomped by one of the worst teams in the nba.

Well he mortgaged their chance of a good roster by taking a bloated contract. He further mortgaged their chances of a good roster with his playing style scaring away legit free agents who previously would have been willing to join NY.

you cant fault him for wanting the max, thats totally his prerogative. And obviously teams can win titles with max salaries.
The problem is with the team being dumb enough to give him the max when hes not worth it, and then theres also the whole issue of the rest of the team completely sucking ass too.

This makes no sense, they have 30m and a first round pick next year. How do you know what the knicks will do with that, and if it will be good.
He's not clutch anymore. My only problem with him.

When he gets rest he is. Has a game winner and 2 game tying/take the lead shots.

I've learned that it's never his fault.

What is the Knicks track record during free agency and/or the draft?

If they gut their roster and get Marc Gasol plus some stud rookie then it would be worth it.. Every team has to spend.. Or else you end up like the nets giving 50 mil to Travis outlaw.

He didn't want Jeremy Lin on his team. They didn't even OFFER him a contract.
It's completely his fault.

In the offseason, he can be traded to the Hawks for Payne and 2 first round picks, plus 21 million in cap space for Knicks.

I don't know how many times in the last 3 seasons I've heard Knick fans say they could use an athletic PG that drives to the basket.:applause: :applause:

First year on a new max contract.
Its just how fans react, when someone is getting paid that much. Let alone the fact that we are talking about new york city.

Lin is not worth 21 min and hes not athletic. For a harvard grad that doesnt know how to foul you should be put back in the d league.

wow a legitimate #3 or 4th scoring thread at worst is not worth 8mil per year? while a shit choker get u no where and wasn't even a much of bigger draw comparing to Lin is worth 25mil per?
Must be same ppl who thinks Kobe is worth 25mil :)
Btw, David Stern is gone. Hopefully, we will no longer see these manufactured stars get any easy rings anymore!
