The troll threads are annoying, but those are hardly the biggest problem. I'd say the biggest problem here is when trolls pop into other threads and completely derail them with their nonsense. Even having them on ignore doesn't do shit because you have otherwise decent posters replying to the trolls and quoting their shit so there's no avoiding it.

I'd rather make a new thread for each different piece of news, highlight, or footage. Otherwise you'll have a disorganized 10,000 comment mess.

I agree that this "stan" thing is a problem.

It really makes discussing basketball less fun with stans just promoting an agenda that is not team oriented. Many posters here, you know who you are, will argue a premise just to prove their idol/god is really the goat. It's funny, entertaining, and irritating all at the same time.

And I agree with raplh i e that deep down stans are insecure and crave attention. Otherwise, why would they keep arguing for their idol if it is clear they are goats? It means somewhere along his day, he sees evidence in today's game or from other posters or friends that shake his own beliefs about their idol. Basic psychology.

However, I'm not sure what ISH can do about this. Most posters here seem to be stans and don't root for any team in particular, except their idol.

I root for the 76ers from way back and even today. I also root for teams that play team ball today since the 76ers aren't any good right now. This will change soon hopefully, but the stans are more of a negative influence than a positive influence when weighed overall.

imagine if you had it all in a glorious megathread that you can edit yourself and in the opening post you can add all the facts, myths, H2H mathematical analysis of intangibles and fapping material you want about Wilt!
