Kerr also has a brilliant offensive mind in Alvin Gentry as an assistant and potentially the top defensive assistant in the league in Ron Adams on his staff.

I think I'd like to see Mike Malone coach this team. CP3 really likes him and LBJ trusts CP3, so he'd be more likely to back up Malone. Good tactician and tough-minded, so he wouldn't tolerate deviation from schemes as much as Blatt does.

I like JVG but he's been out of the league for a long time. He's cognizant of the analytical and pace/space approaches to the game, which is a boon considering the style this team should play. Just wonder if players would react well to him or not. He's certainly a worthy candidate.

Mike is the best basketball player ever but the 6 out of 6 arguement is so bullshit. If you are counting just the rings, its fine. But just because Mike never lost in a final doesn't make it a better record than lets say someone who wins 6/10. The guy have terrible rotations, and not a good defensive coach. He just relied on Lebron ball to bailed them out. I think an experienced and veteran NBA coach is a huge upgrade to David Blatt.

OK. Who then? George Karl...He's already been linked to Sacramento. I can't think of anyone else that's realistically available. And even if they do land a dream coach, there's still a possibility that the team still won't have enough time to really adjust to the new system.

why do ppl like you say this as a fact?
and if i believe this then would you give all the credit to lebron if cavs make at least ECF and may be finals? You can't shit on him for cavs not playing well and then not give him the credit when they start doing well. lebron has only had a great team for 2 years (2011 & 2012) and a very good team in 2013 in his entire career so far. he won 2 titles in those 3 years.
i am more than sure than heat would have lost to that "lost their way" pacers team last year if not for lebron. that is how unreliable bosh and wade have been since 2013.

If Blatt is fired, Tyronn Lue will be promoted to head coach, and that will be that.

They didn't make Lue the highest paid assistant in the NBA on accident.

Whether Lue can actually get the job done is anybody's guess.
