Lillard: 22.2 pts / 4.8 rbd / 6.3 ast / 1.4 stl on 46/39/87 shooting

Wall: 17.1 pts / 4.4 rbd / 10.3 ast / 2.1 stl on 46/30/77 shooting

Haven't seen Wall play this year as much as Lillard. Who's doing better so far?

Lillard. So clutch. Wall is the better passer and defender though, but Lillard just has "it."

Lillard can carry his team on his back

I'd say Wall.

Don't get me wrong Lillard is great, just not as great as wall

Depends on the squad. Lillard is a scoring combo guard. Wall is a rugged, pass first point guard. Both are amazing.

Objective opinion.

I'd take Wall 10 out of 10 times.

I like John Wall a lot. I really do. I've had this debate with my friend and we both agree Lillard is just too much of a killer. I know I'm biased here but Lillard is amazing. His defense really pushes it over the top for me this year.

I just don't trust John Wall in crunch time like I do for Lillard. I think more teams are scared of what Lillard is going to do than John Wall. Damian Lillard brought the Blazers back from being down 10 with 1:30 left in the 4th quarter at OKC and Westbrook guarding him.

He took over in San Antonio on the road in a triple OT game. John Wall doesn't have those types of performances.

To me Lillard has the more refined offensive game - a better midrange and outside shooter. Looks to be in more control too. I'd roll w/ Dame, but its pretty close when we factor in playmaking and defense.

John has had a few of those performances this year. He's been much better at taking over games at the end this year, which is why the wizards are 6-1 in games decided by 3 or less points (for reference, we had the worst record in close and OT games last season)

Can you post some of those games. Just highlight clips from the ones he took over. I want to see how he plays down the stretch of those games.

Lillard is just too dangerous. He can score from anywhere in the half court consistently.

Well said! I think they are on the same level and two of the top five PG's in the L. I will say Wall actually stands out more to me because he's a freak athlete PG BUT he looks to pass first. And let's face it, pass first PG's are becoming somewhat of a dying breed in today's game.

I'd take Wall over Lillard any day of the week.

The only way I take John Wall over Lillard is if I already have a bonafide go-to scorer on my team who can take over a game and score in the clutch.

Wall can't do that. Lillard can.

But Wall is a much better passer and defender and can get his teammates involved more effectively.

One thing I have to say about Lillard, the dude is so efficient with his movement on the court. He's smooth, quick, nasty when he hesitates and changes pace, and almost always recognizes when his man is off balance.

Wall for me
If I was down 5 points with a minute to go I'm saying Lillard though

Doesn't seem as impressive when he couldn't beat Boston's bench in regulation.

I think Wall is a pass first player who also has takeover scoring ability. Now he's not an alpha on Lillard's level. But I think Wall is a pass first PG who also has alpha dog scoring. But if I need a guy to dominate a game scoring down the stretch, Lillard is the better option. Or if it's a team like AI's Sixers back in the day, Lillard would be the better fit for a team like that.

Lillard 8 out of 10 times.

Lillard is still a good distributor but he can score and shoot twice as good as Wall.

Believe me or not Wall has been very clutch this season. I still don't trust him in the closing minutes but he has been pretty clutch.
