Could any other player in history average 24/24/8 (8 assists as a center to lead the league)?

No, averaging 24 Rebounds Per Game would be impossible today (and most decades in NBA history) because of pace.

Didn't Wilt shout at teammates when they didn't chuck up shots after receiving a pass from him?

Regardless, great season.

Does anyone want to argue it's not the GOAT season?

Jordan, Shaq, Lebron stans?

Those numbers wouldn't even be possible today. 60s was weak.

2000 Shaq was better.

Well, there will always be the usual haters and provocators who will try to spark reactions (IMO, even if Wilt's career was full of "1967" seasons, these people would still resort to stupid "weak era" argumentatives to avoid calling him the GOAT), so you'd better ask whether there's any good argument in the first place of why it's not the GOAT season.

I don't have time right now, but can you do me a favor, and answer this question with not only Wilt's numbers, but Dierking's, Russell's, and Thurmond's?

Oh, and maybe post the number of games in which he outscored, outrebounded, outassisted, and outshot them?

:oldlol: Acting like it's already near-unanimous, or like he even has the biggest case for GOAT.

Jordan has better Playoff stats are far more success.

:facepalm
Who said it's near unanimous? It's only an indication that there are too many haters and ignoramuses. Jordan having better playoff stats or Wilt not having the biggest case for GOAT is only a matter of opinion, not a verified fact, unless you go for very simplistic and pretty often irrelevant explanations, like going only by points, Wilt's production falling during the playoffs, etc.

I don't know what question you refer to here. For me, Wilt's '67 season is the GOAT individual one and the GOAT combination of individual and team domination, as well.

True but I meant numbers of that quality. No one is going to lead the league with 8 assists a game these days too--assists have been inflated. They also did not count blocks back then. Wilt's 67' stat line would look something like 20/16/9/4 on 68% today. Can any player in history approach that kind of performance?

Someone mentioned MJ. MJ could match the scoring but what about rebounds, assists and efficiency?

I don't see how he can pick up 16rbd in today's game or even shoot 68%. Jordan can match the Assists and Efficiency varies because obviously Jordan doesn't play 5ft from the Basket. Those numbers don't seem to be adjusted right IMO, doubt a Center could get 9ast a Game either.

The same things you doubt about were equally doubted before Wilt. A center wasn't supposed to average 1967 Wilt's assists in his era and wasn't supposed to shoot 68% either. Wilt was the first and the last one to do these things, regardless of era, which makes him and his season really special.
People make such adjustments in favor (usually) of older players every day. Some adjustments are at least as outlandish: E.g, there are people who believe Jordan would be averaging 40+ ppg today, although nobody has even come reasonably close to this number for a single season during the last 25+ years.
