Next year. They should offer him another contract

At worse his contract will expire when the salary cap blows up.

However, there are rumblings that Kobe may be thinking about retirement without yet expressing it. It's all speculation but even people close to Kobe don't understand if he's tired, injured or plainly done.

Either way Lakers ain't winning shit for a couple seasons regardless.

Knicks should have enough cap space.

I was under the impression that his comment was sarcasm. If not that's a frightening thought lol

the more important question is, when does his jail term begin?

I hope he retires at the end of this season. Nothing worse than watching a player who is a complete shell of his former self (ala KG, but I personally think Kobe's drop-off has been a lot worse).

He has 24 million reasons not to though.

Unless Kobe gets traded to a contender, dude should hang it up. No point in grinding it out with a feeble roster that has zero future.

His shot is just way off as if he hasn't played basketball in 10 years. That's me, not having played basketball since 2004 and going overseas...when I came back and started shooting again nothing was going down but it only took about a week to feel right again. If he's still this terrible after the break, I think it's time to call it quits after this season. There's no sense in embarrassing yourself and your fans by playing another shitty year.
