Even though Rose played great.

I find that very interesting.

Yeah. Until Noah's knee gets sorted out...if ever this season, they are the biggest threat to knock off the Bulls come playoff time (unless the Hawks stay this hot). Nene and Gortat are in the Bulls heads big time.

Pau has been a softass playoff performer since Dirk took his nuts and Phil Jackson beat him.

Noah.....:oldlol:

Well just watch these two teams matchup last season.

If you watched the game what is interesting about it?

Lets hold your interest up for a second because I think it's a bit slow. Butler had a bad game. In fact, Rose was the only one who had a decent game.

Big guys can bully Pau. The Bulls were winning the game and then Nene and Gortat just went over the top of Pau. Pau was never a killer rebounder, but they just decided to play big and the tide turned.

24 out of 26 isn't just hot. Stop. They are just that good. You're too caught up in the reputation of teams rather than than actual talent in the present.

And you have the nerve to say the wizards have the best shot in knocking off the bulls (who aren't even the top team like you insinuate) and think of the hawks as a maybe even though the just demolished the wizards with ease? You have some personal issue with Atlanta

Pau struggled against a tough, formidable frontline? You do realize he can't play his power post game vs. Gortat/Nene, as those guys are too strong for that. Pau scored when he faced up and used his length + nice touch to get buckets. Matchups can dictate his effectiveness, whether he drops 46 or struggles.

They lost by 6 points to a team with a better record. Get over yourself.

Bingo. It is not a personal issue with Atlanta. I live here. I watch almost every game. They have never made it past the second round, and without a star I personally feel they will not make it past the ECF this year either. If they are playing this well at the 70 game point of the season I will definitely anoint them the team to beat out of the East. It is a long ass season and they only have a couple game lead over the Elites of the east. Any of the top 4 in the East are legitimate. It will depend on seeding and who peaks at the right time. You guys are so desperate to be recognized its getting pathetic.

Like I said, too caught up in reputation. Those past seasons have ZERO relevance. Literally, none at all. Absolutely nothing to do with the current season. The Bulls in ZERO way have proved at all they are better than Atlanta and you can't prove otherwise. Atlanta has a better record overall, better H2H record, better record vs. .500+ teams (best in the league), better record vs the West, better record on the road, better record at home, better offensive efficiency rating, better defensive rating. They are just BETTER. Deal with it.

Just for fun, more things the Hawks are better than the Bulls at including the originals I listed off

Atlanta has a better record overall, better H2H record, better record vs. .500+ teams (best in the league), better record vs the West, better record on the road, better record at home, better offensive efficiency rating, better defensive rating, more points per game, less points game game allowed, higher FG%, lower FG% allowed, higher 3 pt%, lower 3 pt% allowed, higher point differential, lower turn over rate, more forced turn overs.

The Hawks are far better than the Bulls.

Matchups. Wizards own the Bulls as of late. No one here was talking about the Hawks vs. Wizards. However, I think the Hawks are the best team in the league right now.

Right now. The only thing that matters in the NBA is health and the playoffs. Bulls have had significant injuries this season. Raptors have had a significant injury. Come April we will see where the top 4 in the east are. They are all very close. Hawks are good. Pride comes before a crash dude.

Ugh:facepalm That's alarming. As a Bulls fan, I'm scared of the Wizards. Their half court offense is impressive, which will only be more valuable in the playoffs, and their bigs are just as good as ours.

not surprising. pau gasol leads the team in player efficiency, while jimmy buttler does in RAPM. both clearly ahead of derrick rose in those statistics. thing is i don't expect rose to be the mvp caliber player he once was in 2011, but even if he were, these guys would still carry more impact e.g. effecting all facets of the game.

one bad game isn't thread worthy, though. pau gasol is the most consistent offensive player on the team along with jimmy butler (arguably the best 2-way player in the game).

Nene and Gortat always seem to play with 20% more violence against the bulls. Jo Noah knows what I'm talking about

True. Really makes you wonder. Especially 2011, and 2013. They could've still competed for a championship those seasons if he was playing like he is right now for the Bulls. How do you play so bad for 3x seasons in a row, outlier being the 2012 Olympics, then conveniently play so well now in Chicago?

I'd say he was this good or close to it in the 2011-12 regular season...then completely disappeared in the Playoffs. It came to a point where Kobe passed him the ball because he was open in crunch time for whatever he wanted (wide open J, go 1 on 1 inside) and he passes it back, resulting in a TO and a game-winner to basically kill our hopes to win the series...(1-3 instead of 2-2)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaOsDQOIB7s

This year's Gasol would have hit that open J...Kobe hit a beautiful buzzer-beater in that game but we ended up losing because we gave up that 3...

I still haven't forgiven him for 2011 Mavs series and 2012 OKC series...I'll give him the injuries in 2013, but he was still awful when playing seemingly healthy early on, when we lost a lot of close games (looked up: 12 & 9 on 42% shooting before injury)

Terrible, lazy argument. The hawks are easily better than the Bulls and I've already broke down why. Something you're gonna have to learn to deal with until the bulls actually start playing better than Atlanta
