When have I ever said he was a true MVP candidate? Never. But I will enjoy telling you more.

Jimmy has been overworked a lot, not to mention the Bulls as a team are a major work in progress. It's not easy for all these new pieces to fit together just yet.

Jim still deserves an all star nod because after half a season he's at 20.9/6.2/3.4/2.0spg and is obviously a great defender to go with that offense.

The guy slumps a little bit and everyone rips him up. It shows how far he's come.

For a guy with a career 10.8 ppg average, scoring 20+ 17 times already and 30 + 5 times so far this season is remarkable.

Jimmy worked for this and he doesn't hot dog for shit. He deserves any praise he gets and will work that much harder for anyone who doubts.

Dont get me wrong, I think Jimmy Butler is a great player. Plus he's young. But it was obvious at least to me that he was overhyped. MVP candidate, max contract ? Really? Slow down. Barely been half a season Maybe he will get there. But I wouldnt anoint him just yet.

His play this season prior to these last two weeks, has been better than both of those guys. bulls arent the only team that is going to offer him a max deal, if he is able to get out of this slump. he's been bad for 2 weeks now, but he was elite for the majority of the season.

I agree. When they are at full strength he's prob not a 21ppg game guy but what he is a someone who every team would love to have on their team. All Star this year for sure. Max player? I dunno about that but who cares. They're going to keep him either way.
