Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said Thursday that a tweet that he sent on Wednesday using a gynecologist joke was “in bad taste.”
During an interview about the NBA Development League showcase he is attending, Morey addressed the backlash to his tweet during a question-and-answer session he did on Twitter while on his way to the event in Santa Cruz, Calif.
“I had a tweet that was in bad taste,” Morey said. “I’m going to leave the comedy to the professionals. I think I’m going to stick with my GM job.”
Morey was asked on Twitter “does having a job in bball make you sick of watching it?”
Morey responded. “No, it is like being a gynecologist, you don’t get sick of it.”
Morey did not comment when asked if he had been admonished in any way by the NBA for his joke.
