He's popular. Probably because of the Pepsi commercials.

A lot of players have/had shoes.
Didn't Kenny Anderson have some shoes? B-Diddy?

Nike is actually pretty picky. Right now it's only LeBron, Durant, Kobe, and Kyrie.

Kyrie is like the pinup boy for AAU ball. Got mad hype for selfish, flashy play and now Dude has been elevated to superstar staus without ever making the playoffs.
Making the playoffs or playing winning basketball doesnt matter if you got sick handles and you get yours, you can still be a star in this league.

For the same reason he started in the all-star game last season. His agency has a terrific marketing team.
Lebron and Kevin Love joining and all the hoopla it created around the team.
also he's really, really good and had success with the Uncle Drew thing.

Didn't he have the signature shoe prior to Lebron and Love coming to the Cavs though?
He's been brilliantly marketed since joining the league, and the combination of a flashy style and some big moments in his rookie year were pretty important in establishing him as a player. Combine that with the Uncle Drew stuff and it's really helped to propel his popularity beyond what his achievements have probably justified right now.

It's all about style and popularity. Kyrie is pretty popular. Remember, Vince Carter was THE poster boy for Nike pre-Lebron, and he didn't really do shit in the playoffs as well.

VC was on a whole different level, both as a player and as an entertainer.
Kyrie's never even been to the playoffs.

He's 22 f#cking years old. :oldlol:
"But, where are the accomplishments, bro?!"
Seriously, people need to get off this ripping Kyrie sh!t. He's really, really good given his age and development. He's 22 and is averaging 21 points on 46% shooting to go with 5+ assists a game.
Put that production alongside some of the greatest handles of his generation with his ability to score and, yes... he's become rather popular. Unfortunately, with that popularity and exposure has come a rather sizable contingent of people who do nothing but try to pick him apart. I don't know why people can't just enjoy the game. It has become all about propping up "player x" while hating "player y." Gets tiresome.
The guy has his own shoe. Who gives a flying f#ck?

His shoe sucks in the performance and looks department though. Nike hasn't really made a great sig shoe in a while. Kobe's are pretty nice though.

Agreed he doesn't fit with the rest of the roster
