Too bad Jim Buss didn't get him more guys to pass to.
This last phase of his career, Kobe isn't getting the chance to show how good of a passer he can be because guys aren't there who will convert.

Kobe...putting up his all time assist at 36 in his whatever season...never been done this, putting up your career high in your old age...oh wait: Scottie put up his career high in rebounds vs the Magic at 37 in the 2003 season...guess it does happen.

I didn't even need to look that up either...I saw that game live on tv. Dat is an eye witness report. The point? The upcoming annoying post of Kobe stans about how kobe did this in this so and so at this age and age..blahblah...etc etc.

It's crazy how well Kobe is doing at this age. Longevity is an underrated attribute of his.

Lakers were winning when Kobe went to the bench late in the 3rd, he got back in and were down 11, brought them backing into the game. Can't blame him. 17 assist and 3 turnovers? Lebron's never had that good of a passing game in his life

When the Lakers didn't get a chance to get an A level superstar, Jim Buss basically was like - I'm going to throw spaghetti at the wall and hope something sticks instead of having a vision.

One vision would have been surround Kobe with as many good defensive players as possible and then let Kobe carry the offense, and the other 4 guys carry the defense.

Another vision would have been surround Kobe with as many shooters as possible so Kobe could be a Magic Johnson style facilitator.

Another vision would have been copy what the Spurs did and run a similar style system.

The throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing what the Lakers could get versus getting guys who can fit into a system to maximize Kobe's talents is shockingly inane.

Kobe's biggest problem at the end of his career has been Jim Buss.

Yeah he got em back 7 points in the short time, I was screaming for Scott to put Kobe back in at around the 7-8 minute mark when Lakers were giving up the run...if he came back earlier, maybe they would have atleast had a chance to hit the shot to get it to OT at the end instead of having to foul. He did miss a FT but it didn't decide anything cause we never got that close.

Seriously...is it so hard to get an athletic, defensive cast around Kobe? Jimbo has been going after these all offense no defense guys for the past 4 years with the exception of getting Dwight...

Wills the Lakers to a 26-12 record in the 2nd half of the 2012-13 season and goes down with the achilles injury, Lakers get swept by a historic margin in the 1st round.

Since you were probably about 3 in the 2003 season youngster...I'll educate you. Scottie was the Blazers STARTING PG...no he didn't just run the offense...he started at PG against OTHER PG's. DA started at SG and Bonzi at sf. Pippen averaged 4.3rpg in 30mpg that year...so yeah putting up your career high in rpg when you are playing pg and away from the basket most of the time...is kind of a big idea you ****ing child.

Not to mention, that game against Magic scottie put up something like 25 points too. It was a vintage prime Pippen performance. I don't remember the complete stat just my eye witness. I know the game was better than Kobes here that's for sure. Stick to the kiddy pool, lad.

I don't remember this, but i do remember game 6 of the WCF, scottie raged in the tunnels and knocked over a bunch of neatly stacked, white towels.

ever since, i have never seen stacked white towels in the tunnels

4/10 joke. At least you didn't bring up the migraine or the sit out. Still pathetic and weak though. It's gonna be hard to hate on a 34 year old Pippen who's back always bothered him after 98 (constant back spasms) and had two knees that were going out.

26-12 RECORD WITH HOWARD, GASOL, STEVE BLAKE, MEEKS, JAMISON AND THE REFS.. Shit they shot like 40-50 free throws every night gifted by the REFS...

Harden does better with much less around him..

By the way meeks, blake, and Kobe were injured for that playoff series..
