View Full Version : Kobe played right into the game plan tonight

I'm being dead serious. The Cavs needlessly doubled him all night and Kobe found big guys wide open at the rim. Let's stop pretending he got those assists by forcing his will on the game, he just took what the defense gave him.
At the end of day Kobe's ball dominance didn't allow any other Lakers to develop a rhythm (Swaggy P) which may have been Blatt's plan all along.

To be honest, I think they shouldn't have doubled Kobe at all. Kobe's shooting like 38% on the year or something, and Jordan Hill was on fire. I'd rather have seen Kobe take more shots which would be a detriment to the team's efficiency

Lakers didn't do everything in their power to win tonight. It was apparent. Lakers played right into the Lakers game plan tonight, and I couldn't be happier. Favorable outcome while still selling tickets.

I agree. That was pissing me off in the first half. :lol
At least let him hit some tough shots before you start doubling, but in the end it all worked out I guess.

:applause: Finally someone willing to discuss the thread topic. Notice how not a single Kobe stan has addressed the very valid points I made. Kobe dominating the ball all night made it impossible for players like Swaggy P to get in a rhythm.
Kobe had an efficient flow of the game type performance tonight, but never really imposed his will on the court.

I'm not saying Kobe shouldn't play that way. If he had played this way from the beginning of the season the Lakers would have a lot more wins right now. My only point is that people are overrating his performance tonight, as all he really did was pass the ball to the open guy. :confusedshrug:

Bron has a far superior team, one that has been less injured, and yet he still only has it 2.5 games over Wade's

He also got smacked down by Wade's team on xmas day.

Could this season be MORE embarrassing for you?

Less injured? :biggums: Cavs lost their starting Center for the season, while the Heat lost a career journeyman. As for Bron having a far superior team, let's look at the facts.

1. Cavs are 19-12 with Lebron, and 1-8 without him. Seems to me like Bron is carrying a lottery team.
2. Heat have a better record without Wade than the Cavs have without Lebron.
3. The Heat are below .500 when Wade and Bosh both play, so that injury excuse you bring up is pretty pathetic. The Heat have been awful all year regardless of who has been in the lineup. Just how embarrassing will it be for Wade's legacy if the Heat finish below .500 just one season after reaching the Finals 4 straight years? Dude is being exposed hardcore this season, and his 2 side kick rings are looking less impressive by the second. The world now sees that there was never really a big 3 era in Miami, just a Bron and friends era.

None of what JT123 said is true. Bosh and Wade and some other players have missed a lot of games and when Bosh and Wade play together the team looks way different. He is just making stuff up for who knows what reason. Matter of the fact is Lebron has barely made the Cavs go over .500 this season anyways so I dont know what hes talking about. All of the media has been saying the same thing, the Cavs is missing leadership everywhere and that is a fact.

17 assists. This was a way better game than what he's been having lately.

This was a needed loss for the tank too, with Detroit winning 9 of their last 11. A regular season win against LeBron doesn't outweigh the need to improve their future. Games against teams like Cleveland SHOULD be easy losses, as I don't see it possible to outtank the Knicks, Sixers, and Wolves.
