How do u like it? For me, it's a lifeline. Access to most all albums & songs continuously for just $9.99

It's a great program.

Anybody have any playlists they are particularly proud of?

I'm a cheap bastard and usually cancel everything after the free trial. Kept this subscription alive for a few months tho. Can't beat the value.

It's basically buying every album (sans mixtapes) on the market for just 9.99 a month.

I have an 80's electropop/alt/synth/new wave play list that seems to be popular. I Get new subscribers every week to it

Best $10 I spend every month. I have a ton of albums downloaded that I can listen to offline so I don't use any data. I'll probably never buy an album ever again.

the convenience of it is more than worth it. makes me a bit perturbed with theyre missing an album or two, but that's not a game changer.

i actually prefer google play music. the catalogue is about as good as spotify, priced the same, but the bonus is you get to upload 20,000 of your own songs to google's servers. it's a great way to fill in any gaps in the streaming catalogue. i have all my rare music, beatles catalogue, and anything else spotify doesn't have uploaded onto there. it's the best streaming service imo. the only reason i use spotify is because my friends are on it and it is easier to share music with them

also, the basic service is free (so you can upload and listen from your computer for free, you have to pay for mobile access though)

i've got about 40 - 50 GB worth of music on there

whats the advantage of that over, say, grooveshark? Not very many adds and an incredible range of music.

ah, I see. what happens when you cancel your subscription? Does it self destruct like a secret message to max smart?

for spotify over grooveshark you mean?

i believe it is has a larger catalogue, nice interface (imo), and the social integration is great for sharing music.

i still think google play music is the best though, just not many people know about it because google doesn't advertise it (like most of their products)

nothing, basic subscription is free. i've cancelled before and then come back and all my stuff is still there. you have to redownload everything though.

Have an account but not premium.. for free.

But the first 2 months for free or whatever it was is enticing.

For anyone that has a jailbroken ios device you can tell Siri to play any song you want through Spotify. If you get the tweak. And also have listen always on while plugged into a power source you can do it from a distance

Spotify doesn't have The Beatles, AC/DC nor Tool. Three of my absolutely must have favorite artists so I won't be getting the premium.

download PlayTube Free app

make your playlist from youtube

spotify didn't have some foreign songs i liked while youtube has pretty much everything. you can listen/watch movies and whole concerts, basically anything on youtube while it videos it on your phone. especially nice if you have a car phone holder in a nice viewing place on your dash and note size phone. basically like having a TV in your car.

only downside is it eats up data. i mix it up between this and free spotify. pay for music lol what a joke :oldlol:

Reports:

Apple to announce music streaming service tomorrow during the Worldwide Developers Conference 2015 in San Francisco.

It should be your typical $10/mo service.

Surprised it didn't come sooner. iTunes + a good streaming service should be pretty dominant.

Multiple ways....

I use to fly quite a bit so i downloaded the music or podcasts through spotify. When I go running I use NRC (nike's running app) which has built in spotify controls.

I dont mind paying for it as the wife and I give it a lot of use.

I have apple music now, seems to have better quality (audio wise) however, UI and playlists are shit.
