View Full Version : If the roles were reversed. Kobe would have emberrassed Lebron.

If Kobe was the younger player, he would have dropped 55 points on him ala Wizards Jordan.

MJ = coward hiding behind teammates. Don't compare that bum to Kobe n LeBron.
:oldlol: I like how you love both Kobe and LeBron but hate mj. Pretty unusual, and having seen your picture I know you're not a kid. I love it, I have the utmost respect for mj but enjoy seeing him get taken down a notch here and there.

Bron dropping 55 wouldn't have been embarrassing for Kobe, as that would have led to a blow out win which would be quickly forgotten. Instead Lebron kept the game close and then scored the game sealing layup on Kobe, ensuring that his dominance over Kobe would NEVER be forgotten.

Lebron pounding away at lottery talent in order to keep up with a legend in his 19th year.

Switch the teammates and Kobe's team wins this game. Bron can barely scrape a win against the Lakers with the team he has? Embarrassing.

Not as embarrassing as leading a team that just went to 4 straight Finals to a 17-22 record. :oldlol:

A blow out loss would have been to good for Kobe. Bron had to let Kobe choke (missing the clutch free throw) AND score the game sealing layup on him!
Now Kobe has Bron's permission to die. :yaohappy:

Sure, Lebron plays cat and mouse in the clutch. Worked out great for him so far in his career.

And before Kobe dies he is going to steal Kevin Love away from your girlfriends first round team.

And please don't mention age. Steroids kills at an early age. Lebron is already in the danger zone.

LeBron already surpassed him in 2013. If LeBron wins another NBA title. It's no longer a worthy comparison.

Kobe at 36 yrs old, thru 34 games of season: 22.6 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 4.8 APG, 37.2 % FG

MJ at 38 years old, thru 40 games of season: 25.4 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 5.0 APG, 41.8% FG

Team Lebron is 14-6 against Kobe. This is LeBron's 2nd game since he returned from his injury.

He's averaging 34.5 ppg on 56 FG%, 6 rpg, 5 apg, 1.5 spg in his last 2 games.

Except it's only about half the team, so it isn't the team that 'went to the finals' at all. And yes, it's much more embarrassing.

Guess it helps to sit out and rest during one of the hardest parts of Cavs schedule this season, when your team really needs you to show some grit and leadership too. His first two games back, unsurprisingly came against 2 non-playoff teams (one of which is one of the worst teams in the league too).

Jordan looked up to Julius Erving cause he was his childhood idol. Lebron is paying respect to an NBA player who's likely gonna retire next season.

MJ at 38 years old, thru 40 games of season: 25.4 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 5.0 APG, 41.8% FG

Through 40 games at 38 years old, Jordan had a 51-point game and four 40-point games, including 45 against the #1 defense (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rbuq4q3cLiU) and Eastern Conference Champ NJ Nets, and a 41-point outburst all on Shawn Marion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd9ayPlqCMg).. also, he had a game-winner against the Cavs, and a game-winner over Shawn Marion in a different game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pjo06p5zchg).

MJ was basically still the best player in the league at 38 years old before his knees went out.. Of course, MJ's higher stats were also achieved in a tougher defensive environment, with less spacing and lower league-wide ORtg... People also forget that MJ led the exact same roster to 18 more wins in 2002 (19 to 37).
