If WB was traded instead of Harden would OKC have had their first championship by now?

think about it, WB would have netted okc much better pieces then the flotsam houston gave up. harden will get his, but he is also a very willing passer and helps make the rest of his teammates better. his shots would be alot more efficient, and would take alot of pressure off of Durant while still being a threat when needed.

WB is a great player, but he needs to be the man on his own team.

It's a close call, but I just came here to say that the Harden trade is the worst trade of the decade.

They should have traded Perk instead. OKC could've been the next dynasty.

trade perk and WB for some quality pieces and that roster would have been set for a decade

The last time Harden did anything worthwhile in the playoffs was a long time ago. Westbrook on the other hand was basically OKC's best player in the playoffs last year.

I know who I'm taking, and it's not even a question.

That's cool and all and I'm a let you finish but Harden is a top 3 MVP candidate

I remember you trying to say you won the trade with Lamb and Adams

They would be better because Westbrook would have netted them more than Lamb and Adams at that time.

i'm not even arguing who is the better of the two, that's a different thread. what i'm saying is the the TEAM would have been better if WB was traded, while his value was sky high, rather the Harden getting traded for peanuts.

Durant+Harden would have been a better fit and they would have had a better team.

get that westbrook-stanning out of here.

Martin- gone.
Lamb - scrub.
Adams - very nice 10/10 hustle player. Cool guy.

Can't believe OKC had that many assets and got so little for Harden and Jeff Green..

Martin was a perfect offensive fit for the team his one year here and part of the reason they looked so good heading into the playoffs.... Lamb is potentially about to be traded for Brook Lopez, and Adams is a baller for being so young...

Oh, and the best part about that trade is that we aren't absolutely tied down cap wise with zero NBA caliber center on the roster. Houston fans can keep celebrating whatever success it is they think matters in this league though.

Harden alone is comparable to Durant/Westbrook, imho.

To be fair, Westbrook really doesn't seem to care about friends or at least care to be around them as much.

Westbrook just doesn't care about 29 NBA teams and never reveals much more in the public.

You have to be delusional if you believe OKC didn't get screwed long-term in the Harden trade. Trying to play up Harden's playoffs failures as the number one option is ludicrous when you imagine him playing near the level he's at in terms of development as a 6th man or maybe even starter in OKC and how monstrous that team would be.

Adams is the only good thing they got out of it, and while he's a solid center, he's incomparable to Harden in terms of the value recieved. Cheap-ass owners :facepalm

Hardens improvement on defense and clearly becoming a far superior overall player has elevated him on the cusp of being LBJ and Durant status or atleast in the conversation. Westbrook is in the conversation when he is balling to

we are not talking about the superior Player. That is debatable. We are talking about the superior fit with Durant and the rest of okc

they would have preformed worst in the playoffs with Harden. Better fit or not, Westbrook is so much better than Harden it negates it. Harden is overrated. He is the type of player whose flaws come forward in the playoffs. It will happen again this year and people will act surprised. Same thing will happen to Steph curry.
