I know it's a respect thing but Derrick shouldn't have said that. Maybe in a private conversation but making that public shows the lack of confidence in himself. John Wall iterated that he and Bradley Beal were absolutely the best backcourt in the NBA. While that's definitely not true at the moment it shows how much confidence he has in himself and teammates which has also reflected his season so far.
