Coby Karl played for George Karl in 2010. Although, he never played a single minute, he was on the active roster.

He is the first to play for his daddy.

Coby Karl was just a glorified water boy.

If he never played a minute, then he never played for his dad.

Technically, Austin and Doc would be the 3rd instance. LeBron played with Delonte on the Cavs.

As other posters have said, yes, he is the first son to play for his dad. However, he is not the first person to be on his dad's team.
