The problem was the Clippers were scoring every time. Might as well make them work for their points by shooting from the free throw line instead of the basket.

Blatt saying, Hey I don't have other ideas to defend the Clips. No
other schemes. No Traps, no variety of zone formations etc etc, just hack a bad FT shooter.

Fukk no... LMAO. Doc Rivers laughed at him as the Clippers stretched the lead to 9.

Game was free flowing until that dumb ass move. Sucked the life outta both teams. Cavs didn't even want to foul him. :oldlol:

Yep. He did it to Dwight in the 3rd last season.

Think he shot like 20 something free throws.

The lead was actually 6 when they took DJ out of the game. There was zero chance of stopping their offense with three guards, one small forward and one power forward on the court. We were having a hard enough time with Mozgov in there.

Dumb thread, as usual.

David Griffin needa to go in the trash can with Blatt as well. Cavs will probably lose by 25 points now

He was hitting 1/2 free throws while the Cavs themselves were out of sync offensively.

You talking the company line, as usual

I hate David Blatt as much as any Cavs fan, but he did well tonight. Thoroughly outcoached future HOF coach Doc Rivers. Gotta give credit where credit is due. :applause:
Because you are stupid, Blatt knows the in and outs of basketball dude knows offensive and defensive schemes of the game. You deserve Scott Brooks who doesn't even know one ****ing play. Doc Rivers the future HOFer as you claim is overrated he couldn't even close out a Thunder coached by Brooks with the help of a stacked team.

Offense hasn't been the problem, it's the defense that has been awful all season.

Blatt's a good coach that was hired with the expectation he would be coaching a young team.

Had the cavs known Lebron was coming I doubt he would have been the hire.

The Defense has been a problem but it seems like the issues stem from effort and constant lineup changes do to injury and trade.

The cavs absolutely cannot waffle with Blatt. He needs to be the guy going forward.

The Cavs are an elite offensive team with huge defensive problems. Both of these scenarios were seen as likely looking at their composition coming into the regular season. They started slow as a completely new team tends to do, and after getting it together for a period Lebron got hurt and they got into a rut. Blatt has done a decent job, and there's little criticism that can be made of the job he has done with any real substance.

Great coaches employ the hack-a-whoever strategy all the time, and the quarter when such a strategy is employed is completely irrelevant. As other posters have already indicated (and the result of the game shows) it proved effective in this case as well.

Has he tried the all time cherry picker strategy yet? I mean he's getting fired within a couple weeks **** it may as well see how funny it would look. I bet Kevin Love would be all about that assignment.

In the 3rd quarter, didn't LA get like 3 straight offensive rebounds off of Jordan's FT misses and still couldn't convert?
