He's kinda right. As long as you don't have good on ball defense, your team won't do well defensively, look at Hawks.

He gave his explanation and said it wasnt a shot at Bogut.

You can play good defense without a rim protector and gave Charles Oakly as an example.

:facepalm that's the exception to the rule. Actually Birdman had some spectacular rim-protecting moments, so it's not even true. He was a huge part of the Heat playoff run in 2013. Look at the past 30 years of NBA champions. Vast majority had a rim protector. They are by no means overrated.

Almost all of our losses this season have come when Bogut sits...
