Demarre Carroll or Chandler Parsons?

During the offseasons a lot of Hawks fans wanted us to pay up and pick up Parsons to "upgrade" at SF. However you can argue Demarre Carroll is better than Parsons and a far better contract. Who would ISH take between Carroll and Parsons?

Not really to be honest. The only thing statistically Parsons does better than Carroll is score more ppg (3) but on worse efficiency. He's also a far worse defender than Carroll

Defense - Carroll. No question. He is criminally underrated as a defender.
Offense - Chandler. No question.

Their numbers are actually pretty similar, and if you factor in the fact that Demarre plays much better defense, it's a lot closer than you might think.

This. Carroll puts up 12 a game compared to 15 on 58 ts% compared to 55 ts%. The only thing parsons does better is put up 3 more ppg

Overall, I would go with Demarre; scoring I would go with Parsons.

Just look at the salary difference, that says it all. Chandler is a top flight player in the NBA, Carroll is a borderline NBA rotation player on a legit contender.
