Assuming your world class doctor says there is a 70% chance he has a full and relatively healthy career.

I think it would be a good move. The more I watch Okafor, the more I realize he isnt the same level of prospect as Embiid.

Ill take a 100% Okafor then please

I'll take my chances with Jahlil Okafor.

He's a beast

Really?

The kid dominates every game he plays in.

he's better offensively but he'll never have the defensive potential embiid does

I think Embiid is better offensively too. Just different when playing against little kids, it would show up more in the NBA. Embiid was in a strange situation in Kansas playing with another future HOFer. They both werent gonna score 20+a game.

I'm just not as impressed with Okafor (not really a knock on Okafor bc I was really high on Embiid). I think Cousins was a similar prospect at this time. Don't get me wrong, Okafor is my #1 pick though and I think he is going to be a perennial all star like Cousins.

The injury is still worrisome.

Both healthy, yes. Okafor isn't gonna be a superstar, I'm afraid.

Embiid's got potential to be a dominant center IF he stays healthy for his career. Would I trade the #1 pick for him? Maybe. It'd be a gamble but I'd do it.

To put it another way...would you be pissed if Hinkie traded Embiid for the #1 pick to select Okafor?

Okafor is going to be 20/10 for a decade. You'd have to be crazy to risk that for such a huge question mark in embiid

It's Boogie's fifth year and he's not made the all star team yet. Do you know what perennial means?

If a doctor told me its a 70% chance(likely a better than actual chance) that he is healthy then Id risk it. That is the type of guy that is gonna bring you titles.

yup. I think Cousins will be a perennial all star. I phrased it wrong. From this year forward I see him on the all star team. So for about 6-9 year span I see Cousins on the all star team.

I see them as similar talents.

:applause:

This guy is a generational talent, if healthy. Okafor, not so sure.

No. Not after seeing players like Yao, Bogut and Oden holding their team back because of their injuries. I would rather have a star that plays then an superstar on the bench.
