Unless you have a lucid dream yea it might as well not exist. When lucid though you are in REM and about to wake up soon anyway. Time has been shown to not be the same in dreams at times as it is in reality... so say you become lucid and feel like you have been doing stuff for about 10 minutes... it might have been 10 mins of real time... or it might have been 2... or it might have been 20. time in the dream isn't distorted... and it just goes to show how time is relative to the experience.
